For years, I would ask if anyone on this team were as good as their counterpart on the WCS teams (I think the answer, across the board, was 'no'). That indicated just how much rebuilding they needed then. NOW, the question is 'who on this roster is a viable major league starter'? A few promising players, but at best the answer is mostly 'don't know'. With little in the farm system or for trades.

How you can remain GM when when those are the questions, and that is the trend, I don't know. I think literally anyone off the street could have done THAT, for free.

Maybe that's the third question: What has JD done in the last...8 years?...that literally anyone off the street couldn't have duplicated, or bettered?

It's hard to even watch baseball these days with the length per 9 innings being higher than ever before. I believe currently it's sitting at 3 hours and 10 mins per 9 innings. Add that in with knowing your team is trash and has no reasonable hope in the near future and it's downright depressing. Rangers need to fire the GM like yesterday and MLB as a whole needs to revisit changes to bring the time per 9 innings back down to something more reasonable. I don't care if it's having a foul ball limit per at bat reduce the number of times pitchers and hitters can call time. Just bring it back down around 2:30-2:45 max on average.
