Mavericks Guard Jason Terry

Was this your best game tonight?

It definitely was because I was playing the tempo I wanted the game to be at and I've got to give credit to the training staff. They've been doing an excellent job of getting me ready. It feels better and better every game. The more it gets better, the more you'll see me jetting up and down the court, getting in the lane and creating things for other people and that's my game.

------
This is exactly what I want to hear out of Terry. Excellent.

You're right murph, I read an article that talked about how dirk was not as "sharp" today as last game. C'mon, the guy scored 30 on 10 of 19 shooting. That's about as sharp as it gets.

if this is what Terry (when fully healthy) consistantly gives them, then every off season move is was the right move.

From sefko at dmn...

"It's definitely motivation," Terry said of the Mavericks' trade for Armstrong, who was in uniform and played briefly. "They're going to tell you around here that your job is never safe."

-----

You guys were right (ffm and ninkobei). I don't like it though. Isn't it better to let your players know you have confidence in them? Perhaps not, I don't know.

I don't care about the stat line tonight. Dampier was great. He set wicked picks that freed up Dirk and others. One of his turnovers was when he flattened Arroyo after Arroyo pushed him. He played great defense and he hustled all game. I thought everyone played well tonight. It was good to see them cutting to the basket and getting passes for layups. This team is still a work in progress, but you can see them improve every game. The defense was outstanding except for allowing Harpring way too many open shots. I was happy to see them push the ball more tonight, especially off of all the steals they got. Great game, fun to watch.

I think we should face facts that damp won't be consistanly scoring to well. But if we can get some D out of him, rebounds and far less turnovers it might not be such situation. Granted there's a lot of other players i'd rather have in their.(mainly from europe) I still think damp can step it. He will need to come playoff time.

In the second half, Nellie must have deferred his coaching to AJ or something.

He put in Shawn Bradley who totally disrupted Utah's offense, and scored a few. He didn't leave him in too long to get overexposed.
He actually played Bradley like he should be played. Of course Bradley should have had about 6-8 min in the first half as well, but I was impressed by the way Nellie played Bradley, and the way Bradley played in the time that he was in there.

Big Shawn plays a little nasty when he isn't worried about fouls.

Ha...that was ONE WICKED PICK. I couldn't figure out the foul either, I think a guy can lean.
