Garrnet (possibly) out for the Post Season
ESPN is reporting Kevin Garrnet is out for the post season this does not sound good for the Celtics making a return to the Finals.

Ouch. Injuries are taking out more stars this year than I can remember. They could be a 1st round exit.

To be technically accurate, they're reporting that he's not ready for the postseason and "there's a strong possibility" that he will miss the entire post season.
Quote:
Kevin Garnett isn't ready to start the playoffs, and Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers said Thursday that there's a strong possibility that he will miss the entire postseason."He's not going to be ready. After watching him practice, there's no way," Rivers said on WEEI-AM. "The way I saw him move today, I don't know if he'll be ready."
When asked to clarify, Rivers said there was a chance Garnett could be out for the rest of the season. Celtics spokesman Jeff Twiss said he could not elaborate on Rivers' comments.

I thought it seemed out of left field. Did he reaggravate an injury? I have a hard time believing he doesn't play injured and all unless he can't walk.

I think the Celtics are good enough to get to the EC Finals without him. No way they get past Cleveland though. Even with a somewhat healthy Garnett.

If he does play, he's not going to be 100 percent.
I would get surgery if I were him, and rehab for next year.

Good. I cannot stand the horrifying thought of Stephon Marbury winning a championship ring.

I do not like to see any injuries. I have always been a believer that you need to beat them with the best they have. There are a lot of players I don't like in the league, but will always want to say "I beat your best".

Not really. After the Utah game when he first hurt it, the Celtics said it would be two weeks. Two weeks rolled around and no reports came out. Then it became 4 weeks. No reports still. Then when he finally came back, they said he would get limited minutes. That last a couple of games. Then he was shutdown again. Then they said he would play the final 3 games. He still didn't play. Now he could be out the playoffs.
It isn't a smokescreen... they just don't want to say how bad the injury truly is.... to be honest, at his age + the number of minutes/games he has played... last year may be the last time any fan sees him like he was.

This is Karma for KG going from a great player with a good attitude on a loser to becoming the biggest bully in the league. I also think the Devil might have came to collect his payment after Boston sold thier soul to the devil to win that one ring.

Thats funny. There is now way they can beat the Cavs. Lets be honest they struggled against the Cavs even with a healthy KG.
