New local sports blog/site
I'm a big fan of SBNation. They have very well done blogs for the Rangers, Cowboys and Stars (unfortunately their Mavs blog is terrible). They just pushed their new general Dallas site live, with a team of contributors that I mostly read and recommend (including the great Sturm).
Highly recommend checking it out and adding it to your daily reading. Link

And when the Mavericks blog finally gets a solid managing editor, there are a few of you who could easily contribute there and really help build something good. I know plenty of SB Nation blogs with very part time contributors...one or two opinion pieces a week or whatever. If you can conjugate a verb and throw a comma in every now and then they'd love to have the help.
(and my writing is amateurish at best, but I'll keep doing it until they kick me out)
