Camby to Portland for Blake and Outlaw
Is it just me or did the Blazers over pay? They already have trouble scoring at times and Outlaw can be an explosive scorer. Outlaw though is injured. They lose 2 good three point shooters

No? Good.
Do you have an article/video/picture/blog posting that is newsworthy and generally interesting enough to include in your new thread to substantiate your supposedly-thread-worthy-thought, or be the subject of it?
Yes? Good.
Can you punctuate your sentences, find the shift key, and conjugate verbs?
Yeah? Awesome.
Then start the damn thread. I don't care.

Oh! I get it now.

This is a stupid trade, but for the Clippers, not the Blazers. The Clips just gave away their best asset (productivity + expiring contract + premium position player) for two expiring contracts (for players they don't need) and $1.5M. Brutal.
This is the worst trade I can remember right now.

Except for when Denver traded him to the Clips for a conditional second round pick.

At least Denver got a usable asset in the future (and an enormous trade exception) that they can use in a future move...

IYAM, trading Pau and ultimately turning him into Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, and playoff contention is a good trade. It didn't seem like it at the time but I think at this time next year everyone will agree that Marc is the better player of the two.
To me, he is already pretty close.

You can hate the Lakers a bunch, but lets not be stupid Pau Gasol is a much better player than Mark Gasol. Gasol is a nice piece but they aren't comparable the trade wasn't bad for Memphis because they also got Randolph

Pau is the better overall player, but Marc is better for the Grizzlies. He is tougher and more physical as well.

I like this trade for the Blazers. They needed a big and got one of the better rebounding and defending ones. They did up Outlaw...he is one of my favorite young players. He is hurt, but he is expected back soon.
As far as Pau vs. Marc Gasol...Pau Gasol is miles ahead of Marc. In three years, I would take Marc over Pau, but currently, with experience and maturity, Pau is better. I do think Marc will be a very good big in this league.

Portland made a big mistake, trading for an aging, free-agent bound Camby, when it may not even salvage their season. Yes, Portland may make the playoffs. But, Brandon Roy may have to sit out the rest of the season due to his hamstring.

Did Denver actually get anything at all? I think the trade exception was dumped in the garbage can, wasn't it? And wasnt the pick nothing more than "the option to exchange 2nd round draft picks" two years later in 2010"?

Nice trade for Portland.......but then down goes Roy, down goes Roy. this franchise has been snakebitten, since the jail blazers days, or is it still the curse of MJ.
