I will be going to see "The Perfect Shot" in the theater tomorrow night.
The events of yesterday are going to make watching it a little bit of a different experience, I think, than it otherwise would have been.
But I am looking forward to it.

And Dirk showed the stupid Clippers what Jordan REALLY wants. To be shown that his teammates would interrupt their vacation to shower love upon him.

How sickening

I hope Dirk won't play against LAC. They do not deserve to be in the same arena with Dirk.

Can someone tell me if this is in English or in German with subtitles?

Edit: IMDB shows "German | English" so it's still not really clear. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3626804/?ref_=nm_knf_t2

iTunes says it's in English, but I'm sure it's a mix of mostly-English interviews and German interviews with subtitles.

Saw it last night at the Texas Theater. More than half in English. Subtitles when Dirk, Holger, and other Germans are speaking.
Good movie. Not the best made documentary, but great homage to Dirk and even the most avid fans can pick up something from it.
Their was a lot of cheering in the theater audience, and boos whenever the Miami Heat were mentioned and when David Stern came on the screen. Very entertaining.

Default Dirk Perfect Shot.

Can anyone tell me where can I watch dirk's perfect shot movie? I want to buy it in Itunes but Iam located in the Philippines.

I plan to buy the bluray once it comes out via amazon but a link to download or if someone who bought the movie from itunes and can rip it to .avi/.mp4 and share it would be nice.

I'm dying to watch the movie ever since last year.

Hope someone can help.

Dirk is freakin' awesome - I've never seen such a self effacing athlete...

Dirk Nowitzki used to sing Counting Crows “Mr. Jones” at free throw line, sings few bars on podcast

http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.c...rs-on-podcast/

My first thought: Hey, DeAndre Jordan, do you know the lyrics to “Einstein on the Beach?”

Let’s go back to the beginning.

We know that Dirk Nowitzki has different musical tastes than the average NBA players. Most guys are listening to Drake or J. Cole, while thinking Jay-Z is a god, and Nowitzki is listening to David Hasselhoff. So why not some Counting Crows? Frontman Adam Duritz is an NBA fan (Warriors to be specific), and they are a little bit older now, just like Dirk.

When Nowitzki was a younger player who would get nervous when he had to sink pressure free throws, he used to sing a little Counting Crows Mr. Jones to relax, he told Adam McKay and Adam Davidson on the Awesome Boring podcast.

It works, Nowitzki shot 88.2 percent from the stripe last year, right at his career average.

NBA all-time scoring list

1 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 38,387 (+10,268)
2 Karl Malone 36,928 (+8,809)
3 KOBE BRYANT 32,482 (+4,363)
4 Michael Jordan 32,292 (+4173)
5 Wilt Chamberlain 31,419 (+3,300)
6 Shaquille O'Neal 28,596 (+477)
-------------------------------------------------------
7 DIRK NOWITZKI 28,119

Dirk scored 1,333 points last season. It's highly likely that Dirk ends up surpassing Shaq to end his career in the top 6 scorers of all time. With 3,300 points to go until Wilt, I just don't see him cracking the top 5, but still-- one of the legends

Catching Wilt isn't impossible, it's just a matter of how much longer he plays...

2 years: 20.1 PPG
3 years: 13.4 PPG
4 years: 10.1 PPG

Don't take this the wrong way, but as awesome as it would be for Dirk to pass Wilt, I really don't want him averaging 13.4 and specially 10.1 ppg. That means that he would be playing way past the time he should have retired.

Those are just the minimum numbers he needs to average over that time period.

Yep... But there aren't any statistics to to predict injury/rest, so I can only work with known quantities.

Passing 30.000 is more interesting than passing Wilt.

Soon guys like LBJ, Durant, Melo and co. will pass Dirk and move him out of the top.6. or top 10.

"30.000 club" will be forever.

30,000 points ... dang. Only 5 other players in history have done it. I'm so glad to have been a Dallas Mavericks fan and alive to see Dirk's entire career.

Dirk Documentary "The Perfect Shot" has been to Free TV in Germany and is available as webstream til 14.09. here.

Two problems: You'll need a German IP (or proxy ), and there are hard-coded German subtitles, so you'll need an extra set of subtitles to play.

Still, thought some of you might be interested in the German version.

"Nowitzki ... on the defensive play". I love it.

I was a bit concerned watching Dirk in the Euro2015 tournament. The same problems as last season. He just couldn't hit his shots. Schröder was pretty much carrying the team. They lost three really close games and Dirk wasn't a factor in the closing stages.

But quite a rare thing happened. Dirk called out one of his teammates who pulled out of the championships because of a shoulder injury, but is now playing almost 30 minutes per game with his club team. He rarely says anything like that?

Dirk nailed a clutch three to put Germany within striking distance, then Lo hit a three... If Schroder hits his 3rd FT, the game would've gone into overtime.
