felony charges filed
The Blazers Damon Stoudamire and his father have been officially charged with felony possession of marijuana. The Blazers had hoped for a misdemeanor charge or that the charges would be dropped. It appears he is now out of the frying pan and into the fire.... |

as expected Damon plead not guilty and a court date will have to be set. The wierd thing was that the prosecution refused to even hear settlement proposals. They must feel like they have a solid case.

good point...but to not even listen to an offer is harsh. I guess this prosecutor wants to:
1. Make a point 2. wallow in the limelight 3. both 1 & 2 |

A lot of prosecutors who are about to run for City Council or Mayor will make sure a big case like this one will go to trial.

Not that I think Stoudamire is an angel, but I hate that prosecutors do that. Keep it balanced as written in law and I am ok.
