The 1st one sucked so bad, they're re-doing it all over. They say this one is reminiscent of the TV show, which people seemed to love.

i agree. the T.V show rocked. I hope they include the piano music in the soundtrack. Very gloomy but it set the mood of the show.

Didn't look to good to me. It's all to bright and happy looking in the trailer. CGI hulk just doesn't do it for me. Maybe I will watch it on DVD.

I kinda dug the Hulk movie. Made me want to smash things. (The Eric Bana one. I haven't seen the Ed Norton one. I'll probably watch it, but I hate Ed Norton like toe jam)

I finally saw Old School.
Overrated.
And it's not because I'm a woman.

I will be the first to tell you that those kinds of movies are dumb....I haven't seen lots of will Ferrell movies; however Old School is greatness...in a really dumb way. But great nonetheless.

I didn't think it was aweful, but definitely not hysterical, laugh-out-loud, like I was expecting.
It was Porky's with old guys.
I liked Tallegada Nights better.

Talladega Nights sucked.
Old School and Anchorman are pure, unadulterated genius.

Mary I suggest you wait about a week then watch it again. It's like a fine wine. Gets better with time and discussion with your friends.

I hated Napoleon Dynamite the first time I saw it. After my friends started quoting it, I started laughing at them. Then I watched it again and again and again, and I laugh my ass off every time.

This, I agree with. I didn't particularly care for Old School or Anchorman when I saw them in theaters, but after multiple viewings on DVD, I now find them both hilarious.

Ferrell is so much better in cameos and small parts like the one in Old School. It's not that he can't carry a movie or can't act. It's just he knows how to bring random over the top humor to a movie when it's needed. His roles in Starsky and Hutch and Wedding Crashers is so randomly funny I just can't get enough of it.
Anchorman is the exception of course.

oh my god, how could anyone not like anchorman?
pulled some of these amazing exchanges/quotes from IMDB:
When in Rome...
I don't think that means what you think it means...
Ron Burgundy: Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.
Veronica Corningstone: No, there's no way that's correct.
Ron Burgundy: I'm sorry, I was trying to impress you. I don't know what it means. I'll be honest, I don't think anyone knows what it means anymore. Scholars maintain that the translation was lost hundreds of years ago.
Veronica Corningstone: Doesn't it mean Saint Diego?
Ron Burgundy: No. No.
Veronica Corningstone: No, that's - that's what it means. Really.
Ron Burgundy: Agree to disagree
Ron Burgundy: What? You pooped in the refrigerator? And you ate the whole... wheel of cheese? How'd you do that? Heck, I'm not even mad; that's amazing
Ron Burgundy: I'm in a glass case of emotion!
Ron Burgundy: It's so damn hot... milk was a bad choice.
and so many many more.
i haven't seen talladega nights, blades of glory, or semi-pro, but have heard they're not that great.
old school is amazing of course. My favorite exchange, for some reason, has always been:
Frank: I told my wife I wouldn't drink tonight. Besides, I got a big day tomorrow. You guys have a great time.
College Student: A big day? Doing what?
Frank: Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

No Country For Old Men in my player. Good but not my favorite movie of the year. In fact, it wasnt' even my favorite western of the year. I liked There Will Be Blood and The Assassination of Jesse James by the the Coward Robert Ford better.
Edit: my bad I was typing fast

i thought the movie was kind of good for the first three quarters - i'm quite fond of lewis, di caprio and liam neeson (but not in a gay way, at least not a real flaming gay way), so I enjoyed it at first.
but the end was like they ran out of money and time and said "hey, let's get this thing wrapped up by noon and catch an early flight out."
just a wretched ending.
(ok, i know they don't shoot movies sequentially, but that's how the ending seemed to me)
now that i think about it, I kind of thought the same thing about this movie as I thought about Glory Road -- they were both fabulous stories poorly told.
