Ok, I am not a pessimist! I take high offense to that. I'm offended well into the red about that comment! Like on a 1-10 scale right now I am around 8 or 9. dead serious.

On the other hand, I have done some quick soul searching and I have looked deep into my heart and I have seen and felt a change, in my hearts core. I look deep into my heart and say to myself what is this feeling? I realize that even tho there has been some sort of shift in there really really deep in my heart, I just can't quite say with a ton of confidence that we are going to win it all. I just can't say and truly believe we can win it all but I feel maybe we can give it a great run. That is as close as I can get right now.

This is a feeling I can not force. You have to understand this. I hope you understand and can act mature and not hold this honest feeling against me. I feel as tho I am naked after opening up this way and laying it all down on the table in front of you. Let's be adults here.. I can accept this thread and appreciate your thoughts. We make peace now, with one another. We shall enjoy a slow joyous peace between us.

I would do nearly anything to make this happen - unfortunately nothing i can do would help our guys. So the only thing left is to trust in Dirk, J.Kiddo and those other Mavs.

HOPE to read this thread again. Once it dies around march, my hope is that it gets resurrected due to a championship. I don't know how much I believe it can happen, but DAMN do I sure as hell hope it does!!! I think the team and the board hit the skids soon after those articles about JHo not being babied by Cuban nor management any more hit the net. I mean after that there was trade rumors with JHo every day....every day something, it does something to you mentally and imagine all his buddies riding him about it. The team started to go down hill, there was no fresh bodies coming in, the team was dead. Actually it was a combo of JHo and the injury to Dampier. Nevertheless, certain defeats have turned to once considered improbable wins. Some have picked us to win the west, some are still riding the Lakers and Nuggets, but it again, as always will be an interesting May. Got to catch the Denver-Boston game yesterday and Denver looked good. I mean all the way down to Afflalo and Ty Lawson. Then again when you grow dependent on your jump shot, you become hit and miss, Smith and Melo.

I think the key to this team is Haywood. The way this guy owns the paint on defense is key, when guys start thinking they can drive to the basket.

Another key component is Kidd. He will make sure the offense gets easy shots, and Haywood and Damp will keep the middle clean, and enough defensive fire power to contain any 1 great center.

I think the bench can be pretty good when Thomas/Dampier return and if Beaubois gets minutes.

Usually just need an 8-9 man rotation come playoff time. Kidd/Butler/Marion/Nowitzki/Haywood/Terry/Beaubois/Dampier/Thomas is an excellent top 9 IMO.
