Default Will the Warriors set a record for most wins in a season?

They've already beat the record for most wins to start a season. Previous best was 15-0 and now they're 23-0.

Chicago '95-'96 72-10
Chicago '96-'97 69-13
Chicago '91-'92 67-15
Utah '96-'97 64-18
Seattle '95-'96 64-18

Will they set a new record this year or will they inevitably lose more than 9 games throughout the season?

At this point I'm not even going to predict 1 loss until it happens... I mean, law of averages should have kicked in a long time ago.

Well they are almost certainly a lock to repeat. Right now, the Spurs are the only team with a legit shot of knocking them out of the West IMO.

Right now they look unbeatable. As long as the team stays healthy I don't see them loosing more then a couple of games. 75-7 or better is possible.

I really hope they do. Just to see greatness happen in these modern times. Too many people complain about the NBA not being what it use to be. People need to understand nothing stays the same forever. So I will like to see this season Warriors break the 1995-1996 Bulls record.

I am rooting for them and think they will make it. They don't get enough respect for how good they are. It's true they got an easier road to the title last year. Injuries to their opponents' players, not having to play the Spurs. But they are legit. One of the greatest teams of all time. And fairly likeable too.

I want the Warriors to win as much as I want Criwdwr to hit a three to take it to 3OT

Crowder drives it for the score. Warriors up 1 with two FTs coming

2OT almost seems like Golden State's way of trolling the league...

Bucks ended the Lakers 33 gamer in 71. Yea, useless fact.

That double OT game in Boston basically did them in. No Thompson in Boston. These guys were tired and to be within 2 late 3rd.

68-7 with 7 games left: BOS, POR, MIN, SAS, MEM, SAS, MEM

Oh, the drama! I fully expect Pop to mostly "throw" those two games because it gains them nothing in beating them as far as the standing since they are already 10 1/2 games ahead of #3 OKC. In fact, it would hurt the Spurs by showing GSW the strategy they need to adjust to come WCF time.

5 games left with a loss to Boston and a 69-8 record.

4/7 Thur vs Spurs on TNT will be a great game to watch.

All good points, but I did see something mentioned on the /r/nba where one comment said if the Spurs do beat them both games (GSW has to play SA twice, once at home, and lastly in SA) that would defeat them mentally after they have worked hard to get this record. However, on the other hand, there is the possibility that if they lose the record the pressure is gone and they do well in the playoffs. It's certainly an interesting decision to speculate on.

This is what I think happens. Its too much to try and win out and if they do and get it, I think they have a letdown in the playoffs...

Another big point that is lost in this record race is that GS has lost 2 games at home in this final key stretch. Getting worn out? Caving to the pressure? Whatever it is, the Spurs are looking very hungry right now. I'm starting to think if Kerr was smart, it may be the teams best interest just to give up the chase so that they can re-focus on a championship instead.

Grats to the 73-9 Warriors. I'm hoping they go back-to-back championships to justify the best record of all time.
