It was once considered cliche to say the Mavs cannot play "playoff basketball". Some people agree with that statement while others don't.
Still others contend that there is no such thing as "playoff basketball"; i.e. tighter rotations, increased focus on defense, increased physical play. This poll is asking if we can put that debate to rest.

Tighter rotations, true. There are more agendas in the regular season than there are in the playoffs, player development for example. As for the physical nature, I think that's a self perpetuating myth. If you chose to go to a slow, half court game, then you will. If you choose to play a full court, fast break style, you will.
Watch this Kings-Mavs series. There will be very little defense and almost no physical play. It will me high-flying, back and forth score-a-thon. |
