I assume Orlando is going to try to offer the max first. They'll most likely offer a lot. The clippers might try to troll after deandre showing up in this. But the clips are screwed with paul being brittle.

Speaks volumes. At least its not an open and shut case with Cubes and Nelson. In the end, I think he re signs here, but theres going to be some give and take from both sides.

No hard feelings?! F' Parsons.
If that's how he feels behind closed doors? Well that's weak. But still his decision. But to broadcast it. Just totally tone deaf. Parsons may be "recruiter in chief" or whatever he fancies himself. But he doesn't speak for the Mavs organization or MFFL. We have a loudmouth petulant brat owner to do that quite capably, thank you.
Parsons probably fancies this the "classy" move when, in fact, it's quite the opposite. DeAndre Jordan set the Mavs franchise wayyyy back when he reneged. He screwed the team, organization and fans over. We lost FA out on other potential signings. We are paying both Wes and JJ more $(which you could lay more blame on our poor negotiating tactics for that, but still). We are still paying for it this FA upcoming and offseason. We wouldnt be needing a Center.
Our entire(proud, championship) franchise got trolled last year you haute couture high heel wearing douche. Know what else exudes "class" and character?
Actually standing for something! Standing for the franchise that way overpaid you a couple years ago and the fanbase thats has stuck by you
This strikes me as some sort of personal "branding" moment and simply self serving on Chandler's part. I've been a big supporter of the guy but this, along with injuries...I'd be tempted to tell him to get lost. Go rot in Brooklyn or on the Lakers and OWN social media, bruh. A future date with Dancing with the Stars no doubt awaits!

Well the Donnie quotes are quite interesting if you put them under a microscope. This is the first time I've really heard or seen the FO question things regarding keeping Parsons. The fact that he even mentions whether the dollars will add up might not definitely mean a max offer right away. The only way you keep Chandler is if you max him out, and he will leave otherwise. That seems to be almost indisputable.

Hypothetically..Would he take the pay cut if we get let's say Dwight Howard and Al Horford?

How???? Unless he's willing to take the vet min.
I've heard Orlando can offer two max deals so wouldn't surprise me if both Howard and Parsons end up there.

That'll pretty much ruin their plan to grow Vucevic. That guy is an up and coming center. Which is something they want to try to sell to Parsons. Plus Orlando is still sour toward Howard. No way they want to pay him again. We can't take this Parsons instagram picture like he's leaving. Mainly because Parsons knows deandre from before he pulled that move on us.

I think we're overreacting when Parsons stays here. He was hanging out with Cuban too a couple weeks ago via instagram...

One thing no one noted in the article. Parsons speaks of his time here in the past tense. "I loved my time here.." He changes course later and talks about staying. Of course this could be indicative of shoddy journalism- it's earl k. Sneed- or a mis-quote.
Just found it interesting. That and the timing. Donnie sounds really unenthused about Parsons returning. And we get a weird Parsons instagram photo. Could be posturing from both sides. Could mean nothing at all. We shall see.

Make sure there is a space available for Mike Conley. I'm not gonna say he regrets being on board with a certain signing(*Spoiler* he does *Spoiler*) but.... it's not off to a good start.

The certain signing you may be speaking of:
STATUS
Day-to-day Parsons (knee) is expected to be a full participant in training camp, Michael Wallace of Grizzlies.com reports. (about 1 day ago)

To be fair we only offered Tyson a 1 year deal if I remember correctly. Then we asked him to wait and see if we could sign DAJ first. I would have left too with the contract PHX offered.

Glad that first round exiter didn't pick us anyway. Saved us from keeping Chandler Parsons.
And wow, Tyson Chandler and the 4th pick for Jordan? That's so weird that words can't describe it.

The Suns, however, are believed to have balked at the overture.

I can't wait to see Noel blow the F up as our starting center next year -- rub "what could have been" in DeAndra's stupid face.

How was that fair when teams were offering him more years and security? BasicLly the Mavs wanted to use him as a rental until they hit Dwight.

With his injury history I would have taken 4/$52 mil over 1/$20 mil

Seriously. 20mill is too generous.
BUT he's a guy who hadn't been healthy a full season in his career before us and he was aging
It's not about fair. It's about a high likelihood of getting injured and having that 20 mill be the last of his career.

Today I bet that the Mavericks will finish higher in the standings than the Clippers. Good or bad bet?

We moved on from a Parsons/Jordan Duo to Barnes/Noel...pretty happy right now, even if its cost us two of Dirks last years...

I just hope we keep Noel and sign him long-term. After the core and some key bench members I'd like it if we can bulk up the rest of the roster.

Nerlens can hit free throws. I don't think it can be hammered home enough how important that is from the center position. The fact that Jordan and D. Howard can't hit free throws is a yuuuuge detriment on the court and one of the big reasons teams Howard keeps moving from team to team.

Why the Mavericks should trade for DeAndre Jordan
With trade rumors circling around the Clippers’ All-Star big man, the Mavs could have a golden opportunity.

I would totally welcome DAJ here, provided he's a guy we could re-sign at the end of the season for like $20M/year or thereabouts.

If they take Powell, then I'm all for it and any trade involving him that doesn't have us giving up picks or taking back long term salary.

Okay, i trade Powell and McRoberts for him and tell him to opt out at the end of the season and fuck off. Done deal.
Cuban is never ever going to trade for Jordan. Not happening. He will never wear the Mavs jersey.
