Adam Vinatieri and Jason Elam of the Pats and Broncos were just named their teams respective franchise players. I never thought I would see the day when an NFL team would designate a kicker as a franchise player. Before anyone starts in on the salary issue and all, I understand how it works, but still....as a former linebacker, it just makes me want to puke. A damn kicker the franchise player. Ugh!

That is HILARIOUS.... The Carolina Panthers mine as well make Sauerbraun a franchise player, he was the only player from that team to make the pro-bowl team.
