What's wrong about Dirk's playoff scoring average?
Playoff Scoring Leaders
This list on NBA.com shows the best playoff scorers in NBA history:
Scoring Average
Minimum 25 games or 625 points
Michael Jordan 33.4
ALLEN IVERSON 30.6
Jerry West 29.1
SHAQUILLE O'NEAL 28.1
Elgin Baylor 27.0
George Gervin 27.0
KARL MALONE 26.3
Hakeem Olajuwon 25.9
Bob Pettit 25.5
Dominique Wilkins 25.4
Hmm... Dirk has 891 points in 35 games, AVG: 25.5
He should be 9th or 10th

RE:What's wrong about Dirk's playoff scoring average?
Maybe the # of games played has something to do with it. Iverson's played 57. Everone else on that list has played more. Dirk has only played 35. But I don't know why they'd not include him because of that. Either that, or it's just bad information. Is there someone you can email at nba.com about that?

RE:What's wrong about Dirk's playoff scoring average?
NBA.com still hasn't changed the playoff scoring in a half to 83 BY the Dallas Mavericks against the Sacramento Kings, playoffs 2003.
It still says:
Most points, first half
82 - San Antonio vs. Denver, April 26, 1983
82 - L.A. Lakers vs. Denver, April 23, 1987

RE:What's wrong about Dirk's playoff scoring average?
I remember when I had stats on my Mavs/Dirk fansite, I always had to calculate them myself because NBA.com was/is that slow...

Sorry I didn't notice that. But one thing I have noticed is that NBA.com screws up a lot of stats. I'll try to find them on another site.

NBA.com is not the most reliable site for up to date stats.

I noticed that yesterday in my happy fun time randoim stats thread. He should also be in the top 10 in free throw percentage, and 3 point percentage.

RE:What's wrong about Dirk's playoff scoring average?
It might have something to do with him being international. I checked the ppg leaders about 2-3 months ago, and the top 100 were mentioned, but both Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash were nowhere to be found. I had to click some link that took me to international ppg leaders. Weird.

Actually I think it's minutes played. If Dirk keeps his average up this year, he'll be added to that list I believe.
