Since we have been arguing about garbage lately, I thought I would start something fun.

If you could choose the best Mavericks team, any player you wanted who would it be? However you can only use players in the league right now.

Starting Five:

Jason Kidd
Michael Finley
Paul Pierce
Shaquille O'Neal
Kevin Garnett

Bench Players

Marcus Camby
Karl Malone (need some toughness)
Tim Hardaway
Jason Williams (need some flash too)
Tim Duncan
Gary Payton
Peja Stoyavich
Allen Iverson
Jerome Williams

Wow, Paul Pierce, Jason Williams, Tim Hardaway, Allen Iverson... how many ill-advised three-pointers can one team take?

Well as you can see they would be coming off the bench. On this team, Jason Williams would come in during garbage time so that would have no effect. He would be the only one I would be concerned about. Iverson on this team wouldn't jack them up anytime he wanted to either, that would be a no no on my team.

This would be a run and gun team, Nelson would love this team.

This obviously isn't the best team I could build, but I would have more fun rooting for it than any other one possible, I think:

PG- Steve Nash
SG- Reggie Miller
SF- Dirk Nowitzki
PF- Tim Duncan
C- Bradley

Bench:
Sam Cassell, Michael Finley, Vitaly Potapenko, Jermaine O'Neal, Jamal Mashburn, Dale Davis, Tim Thomas

Then on the IR we have our project players- Donnel Harvey, Jonathan Bender, and Jeff Foster...

The Bench:

Kobe, Carter, Finley, McGrady, Duncan, Kidd, Antonio Davis, Mutombo

IR:

Grant Hill, Ron Harper , Mourning (hehe I´d have pretty much all of the centers)

Yeah that's why I have Shaq, Iverson and Dirk. You can't have like 8 stars on one team, like the Blazers or team USA at the olympics.
