Default What if?

What if Nash does go elsewhere this summer in a sign and trade or just as a free agent signing?

Whatever happens, just say Nash is gone, for coversation's sake.

I read somewhere that Payton and Malone plan to play in the same place next year.

Would dallas be a good place for them? 1mil each?

If it was a sign and trade situation, you might be lucky enough to get a pg in return.

If he leaves outright, well, we're probably screwed because we haven't been able to attact big free agent names.

Certainly they still have some good fuel left and could help the Mavs the next season, but I don't think it would be a good idea when the Mavs are now more prone -and succeeding- to sign young good players. And they, Payton and Malone would choose LA again than Dallas for few money.

But, what if Nash leaves? It would be hard to find a good replacement. Thus, I don't think the Mavs will let him go.
