Also I look forward to having Parsons available for these late game situations.

Zaza better show up early before the next game to practice his free throws.

Look at our free throw shooting and you'd think that the Mavs actually got Jordan.

Thunder should be fouling, I think, especially with how the Mavs have bricked free throws.

They should even foul Dirk if he gets the ball.

Hmmm... something unnatural occurred there on that shot by Williams. The ball was meant to go down through the net there. Also BRING in Charlie!

Just a sad way to end it. Glad we were in it until the end.
FTs just killed us. 57% on them and we missed 12 easy points in a game decided by 3

Wes drew contact, launched it up... No whistle.

That was certainly a foul there. I don't get why they didn't put Matthews on the free throw line. Also remember that time when Harris was fouled and no free throws were rewarded to him? Man... that was an often frustrating game to watch.

There were 8 seconds left. Why the panic? 4+ seconds left when Matthews chucked it. SMH

Every team has an off game. We won't shoot 57% on FTs very often.
Now we start our new win streak

You always go for a quick shot there. Always. If you miss, it gives you another shot.

Agree, but you have to have a somewhat open shot to start with.
After reviewing, he chucked it hoping to get a whistle for contact. No call there just like no call on Parsons' end of qtr layup where he was clearly hacked on arm.
Home cooking tastes good! /sarc

If we shoot 16-28 FTs we deserve the loss. But this team has credit in this season so far. It was a fun and close game at least. But we need more Dirk on crunchtime!

OKC doesn't have to worry about shutting down Dirk when the Mavs are already doing a good job of it -- he had as many FGAs in 34 minutes as Powell did in just 13 minutes.

Lol our 3P% was almost as good as our FT%
I think that says it all. Make your FT's, play a little more defense and you win this game.

Mavs always seem to lose early Sunday games for whatever reason.
Tough to lose because of FTs.

I don't like the jerseys with the skyline on them.
I do like winning though. So today wasn't very fun.

People shouldn't be too mad about the loss. Most of here didn't even believe in this team before the season begun, and Mavs had a nice winning streak. Time to build another.
Besides, it was a nice, tough game. All players are relatively healthy and Mavs fans have a lot to look forward to - in terms of who gets how much playing time. Deron Williams had another great game and people should really start noticing him for his performance.
I don't know why Barea got less minutes than Harris since Mavs weren't playing any defense - Harris is only good at taking charges and driving to the basket. Barea had a really nice connection with Powell, and Mavs could've explored them two together more.
It'll be interesting to see how things go forward because Parsons is as close to being healthy as he can be. This means that Rick has to rely less on 3-guard lineups and use Parsons more in the game. Will be interesting to see which guard is going to miss out on playing time. Offense will change a bit with this also.
Overall the game was lost with turnovers. Neither side played much defense but Mavs lost the ball way too much - especially at the start.
Losing a game by only 3 points but Clippers losing + Josh Smith creating havoc in the locker room - this makes up for Mavs losing today. Smith really should be traded to the Kings so we could have even more fun watching Sacramento play.

Zaza was huge once again. Love his activity.
Free-throw shooting cost us. I think it's a mental thing for Zaza but Parsons and Harris have me scratching my head.
I'm hoping McGee doesn't steal too many minutes from Powell as Dwight continues to impress and the team obviously have more chemistry with him at the moment.
Deron was good until late. Dirk taking only 7 shots is insanity.
Wes Matthews had one of his better games on offense.
Surely we can ramp Parsons minutes up considerably in our next game. He never really comes off tired from what I can see.
Charlie V was nice in his small stint on the court. Would've liked to see some JA though.
Off to Memphis. I think we'll get the job done there if we're not as sloppy as we were tonight.

I can live with the result but it's still a bit frustrating when you lose a very winnable game to an opponent due to missed FT's. Despite his decent all around game, Zaza is to blame for those 3 FT's that he missed in crunch time. Also, Parsons and McGee should really spend some time on working on their FT shooting. While McGee probably just isn't a good shooter like many other Centers, I don't really understand why Parsons is struggling so much at the FT line. He has to do better than that.
But well, on to the next one... overall, we are still doing really well considering my low expectations before the season.
