New coach? Same old Griz.

RE: Dallas at Memphis Gameday Thread
Nope, this game is at night.
And we are going to be going against a spirited bunch tomorrow night with the switch to Coach Fratello in the works. You guys remember how it was around Dallas in the 90s, we always had our best games when we were getting a new coach later that week.
But we can take them. Dampier is going to have to be big in the middle and Harris is going to have to take Jason Williams out of his rhythm again, but they can.

RE: Dallas at Memphis Gameday Thread
I think they are still bummed out and they won't know who the new coach is until they get there. A bunch of uncertainty. I don't think they have natural leaders on the team..
Mavs get it going, 105-92..
Pretty weird when you think of a mavs team blowing someone out nowadays it's only with 105 points! Also noticed the taco buena promotion at the AAC yesterday has been place at 99 points instead of 100. My buddy and I were joking that maybe it should be at 80. Time to get the train rolling.
Our Jump shots start falling again.
Our D sets up easy points in Transition.
Harris and Howard come up big on D.

RE:Dallas at Memphis Gameday Thread
Last game Mavs found a way to stop the loosing blues. Now it is time to get out of the shooting funk. Memphis seems to be quite an adequate place to get into a better rhythm.
Mavs win 108 - 97

RE:Dallas at Memphis Gameday Thread
Grizz starting a very small line-up... Gasol at center and Battier at PF. How often have the Mavs started a legit center against the other teams power forward in past years? Hopefully this means we play to our strengths and dominate the boards and the low post, rather than Nellie "matching" them by going small.

Gasol getting pushed around by Damp in the early going...Pau is smooth but not much of a physical threat.
Dirk should kill anyone guarding him with what the Grizz is throwing out there and if Damp can seal Pau the lane will be open all night

Yeah, he's hurting us. But he's quite a streaky player and can cool down at any time.
