Wow. And just like that, James drives around Marion like the latter is tied to a fence post and then dunks the ball all over Tyson Chandler's late-to-arrive help. Sigh. The free throw makes it a ten-point game: 75-85.

Mavs run the exact same play next trip down. This time Dirk just pulls up and knocks down a 15-footer. Now 77-85, with two-and-a-half to play.

You get the sense this is a really critical possession. James brings it up and hands it off to Wade, who works off a Bosh screen at the top of the key. Kidd fights over the screen and Chandler switches, yet Marion, Dirk, and Terry have the interior zone completely blanketed and Chandler denies the would-be entry pass. There is nothing Wade can do.

Chandler smartly rotates down to Bosh, freeing Marion to keep one eye on James in the backcourt, and Wade tests Kidd one-on-one.

Kidd won't have one bit of the jab step, stays in front, and puts a body on him. The best Wade can manage is a kick-out to Bosh on the extended baseline. Bosh pulls up for a jumper that would have doubtless missed anyway, but just in case, Chandler blocks the shot. Kidd snares the loose ball, and we are off and running.

Starting to feel like the tide may be shifting. A score here would be huge.

Also, Chuck seems excited.

A somewhat frenzied possession results in a somewhat rushed Terry three, which somewhat catches iron.

Can't help but feel like this is the lost opportunity that is going to cost them the game, the series, and the season.

Dirk knocks home a couple free throws, but you get the feel this is too little too late. Only 96 seconds left to play, and Miami up six.
