Strange, that movie doesn't generally make me laugh. Or did you mean more my use of the reference?

well it's not damp specifically, it's just that Avery tailored the Mavs to go small to play down to the Warriors. That was a dumb move. A 1st seed, 67 win team does not change their game for the 8th seed. We need to play our ball, not nellie ball. If we do that, we have a heck of a better chance. Everybody needs to show up and play with fire too on both ends of the floor.

There's nothing "especially British" about going to public high school in Justin, TX...

It's close - right next to the Texas Motor Speedway (that land was part of Justin before Ft. Worth annexed it...)

Actually, when I went to school there, pretty much every town between Ft. Worth & Denton attended my high school... They've built a dozen more schools in the area since then...

SA lost too, and does anyone believe Denver has their #? We missed half our lay-ups, that won't happen again. I'm very optimistic to know the Warriors actually are much worse than all the hoopla going on. You have a free lay-up every time down the court, we just missed a ton of them for some odd reason.

I was kiddin' -- I'm originally from just up the street (Sanger, white trash capital of N. Texas).

Seems like Northwest ISD was the place to go back in the day. Is there still such a thing?

We had kids from parts of Sanger at Northwest as well... I'm not even sure if the school exists anymore...

Ok, everyone I finally know why we lost,. so there is no more need to worry. This came from a post yesterday. rmacomic quote:Ok here's the deal. Last year I had to work and missed the whole first round. We swept. So do I watch this year?

rmacomic must have watched the game. We just need for him to work, and all will be fine.

I suggest stop watching these games than if you're that bad off.

I was pissed off last night, real pissed off at Dirk's absence from the court as a leader for the Mavericks.

Quite honestly, I hope the Mavericks understand that no matter what kind of excuse they will use - if they cannot beat GSW (no matter what # they are seeded in), if they cannot beat Don Nelson, if Avery is just too much of a sissy to take on his old boss, then the Mavericks do not deserve to move past rd1, let alone the NBA championship.

Dirk, if you are the MVP, you definitely did not show that to the Maverick fans last night.
I am disappointed.

It was a very frustrating game. I'm not sure who that team was playing against Golden State last night, but it did NOT resemble the team that won 67 games.

Let's hope that Dirk, Avery and the rest of the gang start playing like themselves on Wednesday.

Before the game last night I had this ominous feeling. Now I feel confident again. I just can't believe this team will allow themselves to lose this series. Mavs in five.

So I picked up a gig in Daphne Alabama on Wed. Aniston AL on Fri. I'll be teaching a comedy class in Charlotte NC on Sun. after a gig in Belmont NC on Sat.
Next week I'll be in Little Rock Ar. on the 1st thru the 5th.

I hope you all realize the sacrifice I am making for you.

Have you ever been to Alabama?
