After last nights bombshell, I changed my mind on trading Wood. Need a defensive big, and I dont think Mcgee and Maxi are enough

Where is this poor defensive Wood people talk about? He is our best shot blocker and is rarely out of position.

Feel he is just adjusting back from his injury right now. Not gonna sweat it.

We need a 5 and he's a 4. And since Mavs have no interest in getting him an extension, then we need to upgrade for a defensive wing or defensive center. Im sure they are trying too.

I forgot where I read it or which pod it may have been from but someone had said that front offices view Wood as a Bobby Portis player. Which if that's true that explains Mavs reluctance to do more than what has been reported in extension talks(portis is 4/48m). So i guess thats good for off season retention if we dont trade him now but if teams view him as that and we overpay like we did powell and thj he's never getting moved in future.

Just give him whatever to get signed. Doesn?t matter can always trade. Cuban can?t be so dumb. Lost Brunson for NOTHING. Can?t afford that. Sign him or trade him NOW.
