They will but it won't mean anything. Their team is just absolutely insane. There is just no point in trying to make a run for a championship while this team remains together. They could lose KD or Curry to a season injury and still easily win it all. Heck, it's arguable they could win it even with both of those injured.

Harden: Can't win. Might as well pad my stats.

I agree - and he has 2 years left after this one that pays him $21m each season. I guess insurance picks up that tab but it still counts against their cap.

Y'all have to watch the last minute of the Raptors-Rockets game. Rockets with some extremely bonehead plays and defense/rebounding and almost/should have lost.
I hate Harden's game. Poor shooting and still 35 points given 15 free throws...

Griz have given up. They should definitely be better than they are.

I'm old enough to remember when they started the season at 12-5... They're 19-30 now.

NBA ratings down across the board. Glad that no competitive balance between top, bottom, east, and west has backfired so quickly. Still hope that there will be new rule named after Durant! That's how he should be remembered...

A rule against what? Joining the former champs after they bounced you from the playoffs despite being up 3-1?

Yes. There are tiered salary structures that could prevent these dumb moves or at least force Durant type of cowards to lose a buttload of money for their Nazgul wet dreams.

In his defense he took a max contract to join the best team in the league. The blame is is in the plsyers association for the new agreement. The owners warned them.
But I still can’t stand him all the same.

That's what I don't get btw. In a tiered salary system, the middle class would likely benefit as well because it wouldn't be so top-heavy. And that's most of the players the union represents.

So do we hire the Suns coach (not as head coach - only as bench coach) since he knows Luka so well???

dude is ballin' - Nikola Jokic 32 points, 18 rebounds, 10 assists
joins Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only Centers
in history to have multiple games of 30+ PTS, 15+ TRB, and 10+ AST.
And has a small Doncic moment here - https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comment...c_hanging_for/

@espn_macmahon: James Harden had a pair of assisted buckets vs. Magic, both on feeds from Kenneth Faried. Per @ESPNStatsInfo, Harden had 87 FGs and scored 302 points since his last assisted bucket.

Good morning everyone!
Honestly, I hate the state of the league and all these stupid trade requests. But hard to blame AD really. Pelicans failed to put a decent team around him consistently.
Also tough luck for the Pels. Because this season they do indeed have a decent team, but injury trouble. Also small market, also Western Conference. Need to fix this stupidity asap. If New Orleans was an Eastern Conference team, there would probably not be a trade request right now.

Ever since he got RP as his agent the writing was on the wall. This is being announced now to try and force his way to LA since Boston can't trade for him until the off season with Kyrie on the roster.

I’m guessing AD end up in LA or Boston this summer.

I'm sure the Pelicans would LOVE to have Matthews and Barnes. Throw in Barea for good measure...

If I was the Pels I'd just DNP AD the whole season, trade Holiday, and tank hardcore. Then trade him in the summer once Boston can compete because then the competition will be higher.

Now, while we have virtually no shot at a package enough for AD, I'm watching Jrue Holiday very closely.
I'd absolutely love someone like him on my squad and he'd be obtainable should they trade AD, I'd think.

Could the Mavs get involved in a 3 way trade with LA and NOLA? Radio guys this morning suggested throwing in DSJ and Wes and getting Julius Randle and Lonzo (maybe more I can’t remember). They did say KCP would have to be involved with any trade to LA and he has a no trade clause.

So you want to downgrade DSJ to Ball?
Because Randle is going to be a FA next summer, so no point in giving up assets for him now

Not saying I want to do it. I’m not ready to give up on DSJ unless we are getting a star in return (which is unlikely). Simply what was suggested by Dallas radio guys. They think Ball would be a better fit next to Luka and he’s already one of the better defending PG’s.

Kuzma is the only young player on the Lakers that I would be interested in. KCP is on a one year deal for 12, so I'm guessing it's only to make numbers work. We can't trade any first round picks at this point, so it's kind of unlikely we get involved.

Mavs aren't getting AD.
Some team is stupid enough to offer a first rounder and we simply cannot offer one with our next pick being conditional.
Honestly think there's a
33% chance he stays put, expires and goes to the Lakers or Clippers.
33% chance he's traded to a contender like the Lakers (14th pick) or the Clippers somehow make a deal without having this year's first rounder.
33% chance a non-contender trades 1-2 first rounders for him and he leaves them this summer
My money is on Lakers trading their first-round pick, some second rounders, and some young players for him to keep LeBron happy.

Yeah a guard who cant shoot to save his life wont work in Ricks system and wont work in the modern NBA.
Dude is trash. His shot is so broken, it will be always a huge liability:

And Lavar and Cuban would work......not

@BA_Turner: Hearing from sources if Lakers want Anthony Davis, who has requested a trade, LA has to start the deal with Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Ivica Zubac, No. 1 pick.

I love a good rant...
@KirkSeriousFace: If Lebron wanted to play with AD he should have signed in New Orleans
@KirkSeriousFace: I’m not interested in the “Lebron has no stake to Klutch Sports” take either. Don’t look at collusion and call it something else. I admire what Lebron has accomplished but it’s still kinda gross.
@KirkSeriousFace: “But he’s sticking it to the owners!”
Like I fucking care. I tune in to watch good competitive basketball. Maybe NOP should lose AD, but not to the vipers nest of bad ownership, development, and gold painted bullshit that is the LA Lakers.
@KirkSeriousFace: I’m just so tired of the shitty lying by players and agents. Just say you only want to play for big city teams! The lakers and Knicks are not first class franchises, they are franchises with history.

Shams Charania: Sources: Should Lakers/Pelicans trade talks pick up, point guard Lonzo Ball’s camp prefers Ball to be moved to a third team that doesn’t have an established point guard.

The whole thing is sickening. Davis has said that anyone other than the Lakers that gets him will just get a 1.5 year rental.
That means that unless teams are really dumb and/or desperate, Lakers are the only bidders and no one is bidding against them. Davis has not only requested a trade, he's made sure that the Pelicans don't get even close to equal value for him.

That's the league these days though. Agents now leak a player wanting to be moved, and then it tanks their value. Nothing a team can really do about.
The Wolves got decent value for Butler, but at the expense of huge franchise embarrassment and the coach getting fired.

I could see a team like Toronto give up decent assets to rent him. There isn't really much AD can do. He may WANT to be traded to LA, but like Kawhi he has to play for a year where they send him. Said team could also flip him this summer to recoup some assets.
