Maybe Nash or McGrady or Stojakovic or Kirilenko or D.Marshall, what about Shaq or LeBron or Kobe, do you like Brand more or Ben Wallace? Would you want Van Exel or Jamison back? Maybe Redd or J. O`Neal or Artest or Kidd or Carter or Iverson or Chandler or Curry or B.Barry. Maybe a real veteran, Malone or R.Miller. Or Who?











I would take player who can play both forward positions, and it is #1 Kirilenko, #2 D.Marshall

I thougt about Nash or other PGs also. I don`t want Nash back, I want a better defender at the 1 but which PG is that much better than that what we have? Cassell? B.Davis? Marbury?
So I took a starting SF who can also back up Dirk.

For me, Peja.

Reason:

Damp can hold down the middle and keep Centers honest. He has some low-post game. He also can defend the post.
Terry can score some, but can defend.
Fin/Daniels/Howard/Stackhouse -- all can play the 2 guard and some SF. They are a combination of slashers and a shooter in Fin.

Dirk is Dirk, and is a mismatch anytime he is on the floor.

Peja is 6'10". He can guard the big SF's. He can shoot lights out. He forces a defense to play him with a Big, quick guy. If the Big quick guy is guarding Peja --- who guards Dirk? ? ? Dirk can shoot lights out from the outside, post, and hit the mid-range. He can shoot over the short players, and is quicker than the taller ones.

Dirk/Peja on the floor, with Fin spotted up or Stack slashing, Dampier in the low post, and Terry driving and dishing, would be awesome on both the offensive end, and the defensive end.

IMHO, there is one person who can almost guarantee us a championship, if we get him: Karl Malone. Never seen anyone guard Tim Duncan better, and would be extremely effective against Yao and Garnett too.

With Dampier & Malone providing the defensive presence, Dirk & Finley shooting down treys, and with Josh, Daniels, Stackhouse.... Sounds too good to be true!

Chances of getting Malone seem slim; he'd probably retire or end-up in Miami...

I think a proven, hardened three point shooter would be a key weapon. I like Jasikevicius as this option, but that's ignoring some of his limitations in the NBA style game (pace) so I'd say Brent Barry? Definite yes to Petrovic. A Reggie Miller of 4-5 seasons ago would be a killer.
