LOL madape.

The scariest movie I ever saw was the original Halloween.

The only movies that ever scared me were the old school gory 80's flicks like Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Friday the 13th. Of course this was back when I was a kid..hell the boxes in the video stores that had Freddy Kruegger on the cover scared me shitless! Now those movies are just funny to watch, but back then..

Also, I watched the re-released version of The Exorcist in the theater a few months ago and wasn't scared at all..why do people think that movie is so damn scary? I guess if you're deeply religious, maybe the realistic nature of the movie is what's disturbing.

the first time i watched the exorcist was the day before i turned 5,

I think a lot of old movies are not scary anymore because society has become used to violence. What was a horrible act of violence 30 years ago barely rates on our consciousness now. Plus filmmaking techniques are better so the scary moment is now more vivid.

blair witch I was good because it was original. really something that hadn't been done before. it really wasn't that scary, though... i heard blair witch II was awful.

sixth sense was an awesome movie. take away the ending, and its just a good movie. but that ending made it awesome.

Blair witch wasn't scary in itself, but it did create a scary atmosphere.
i know that after the movie, walking out to my car, i was a bit paranoid. And living out in the country surrounded by trees, i was very paranoid the first night.

sixth sense, sweet movie all the way around. haley joel osmond is a great actor. bruce willis definitely proved he could play a role other than the hero.

Im with DJ, those Halloween, Friday the 13ths and Nightmare on Elmstreets kept me up nights when I was a kid.

What Lies Beneath made me jump out of my seat more than a few times but it wasn't your traditional scary movie.
