Never saw a shot he didn't like either. Hooray for when Harris and Howard come back so that he gets fewer minutes.

I just don't understand...After basically keeping the mavs in the game, you focus on one play to post this?
I wish devin could play, but it looks like he may just be too soft to make it in this league. Dont' know what your tagline's going to be then.

But his shots are always forced, even when he was keeping us in the game. To me, nothing matters unless you're gonna win the game anywway. I don't think Devin is soft, he just needs to stay healthy. But nobody this year can claim completely health cept for our bigs (magically). Its just my opinion about Stackhouse, I don't care who likes him. Man he does end up being a black hole sometimes though. I'm glad he kept us in the game at the one point, but that turnover really mattered a lot lot lot lot Lot more.

You're full of it dude. His shots are not always forced and they surely were not forced last night. He took 2 3's (2 more than I want) but he was the best 3pt shooter out there last night except for killer. Jason should have taken 4 less and dirk didn't come close either.
And bullcrap, that turnover was the end of a series of stuff, you just gottan step back and think a little bit. That turnover might have gotten a dunk, give the pistons some damn credit there as well. The only knock I have on stack last night was his pretty pathetic rebounding.

I don't like the way the Mavs depend on Stack either. Whats happens is we return to the OLD Mavs in the Fourth. Stack and Dirk are shooting Jumpers, just like Dirk and Fin used to. WE can't rely on one-on-one Jumpers down the stretch. It's fine letting Dirk do it, he's our best player, and thats his game. But frequently they both start settling for jumpers, and a few misses down the stratch just kill us. I'll be glad when Harris and Jho are back, just for the fact that the stretch lineup of Harris, Terry, Jho, Dirk, Damp is more suited to succeed. Harris penetrates, Terry and Dirk shoot, and Jho and Damp clean up.
I'm not saying I don't like Stack, I love him as a 6 man, but I don't like seeing him in down the stretch. I always cringe when I see him fire up a spin fade away when a basket is crucial. Eventhough he does make some, it's not a good shot.

Well this was a frustrating ending of a game. When your team has to depend on Stackhouse for most of the game, bad things are going to happen. Stackhouse is a poor shooter, turnover prone, and tends to get selfish at the end of games. We need Harris back soon so we can have the lineup of Harris, Terry, Howard, Nowitkzi, and Diop or Dampier.

Oh stack has his issues and even though he was on last night, his willingness to go to the hoop has decreased quite a bit the last quarter of the season. I would expect his fta's have gone way down too.
THAT is something that AJ needs to address and address quickly.
What I don't like is a on-going hatred for one of the mavs players just because. Stack has a great game last night and a poster rags him on it because they just don't like him. Same for "kitten", they just don't like them so they suck.
That kind of fan just whips my butt. Takes away my energy. Maybe that's just me but it's a whip.

Im no fan of stackhouse but this loss isnt on him. Guys we lost to the team with the best record in the nba without our 3 best perimeter defenders and 2 of our 4 best players. Stack was awesome tonight. When a guy is feeling it the way he is i didnt have a problem with him shooting it as much as he did. I think he was something like 11 of 16. That isnt forcing things. I dont think that 1 bad play even if it comes at the end of the game overcomes the rest of the game. He is the worst defender on the team so he needs to score to make up for that but to be honest he didnt even really play horribly defensively tonight. Stack was not the reason we lost this game.
That said i dont like it when we rely on him that much because i dont trust him to do it consistently but when he is on there is nothing wrong with riding the hot hand.

stack was playing out of his skull. there arent many people in the nba who can score 25 pts on 11-16 and still be blamed for a loss. i thought the way keith and stack played was really encouraging

im not blaming him for the loss, just stating I'd rather no have the ball in his hands down the stretch. I'm all for having him score in the 2nd and 3rd, but I don't want to see him firing up J's during the 4th

I don't hate stack just because. I don't hate him at all. I dislike his game. You don't watch Mavs basketball if you tell me he doesn't force shots. I'd make a petition going around all of the people who sit around me to vouch for that. Every person I've talked to recently agrees there isn't a shot Stack doesn't like. Now that doesn't mean people don't like him. Dude1394 always takes this stuff personally and for some strange reason has to try and shoot down anyone who disagrees. It isn't "just because" my friend. I honestly feel it drags down team chemistry. You may disagree til you're blue in the face, but don't shoot what I'm saying down, it isn't necessary.

Oh he does force shots there is no question about that. I just thought that this wasnt a game to harp on what stack did wrong.

I think this was more of a game where they had to rely alot more on him scoring. He did great, but when you have to rely on him to win games, you are in trouble. But he did do great. He just needs to figure out that when he does his little spin move in the lane, they got a defender coming on his blindside. I think that is the thing that gets him in so much trouble. That is when he turns the ball over.
