Dallas trades: SG Michael Finley (18.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.9 apg in 38.6 minutes)
Dallas receives: C Samuel Dalembert (8.0 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 26.8 minutes)
SF Glenn Robinson (16.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.4 apg in 31.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +6.0 ppg, +7.6 rpg, and -1.2 apg.
Philadelphia trades: C Samuel Dalembert (8.0 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 26.8 minutes)
SF Glenn Robinson (16.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.4 apg in 31.9 minutes)
Philadelphia receives: SG Michael Finley (18.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.9 apg in 72 games)
Change in team outlook: -6.0 ppg, -7.6 rpg, and +1.2 apg.

Why would that be a joke? I think it is a very good option if any valididty to it. If it were to happen then we would have moved Jamison and Finley's long-term contracts into one year contracts for the most part.
Even if the Shaq deal never materializes you sure have some solid trading chips to use for your next best options. Say you want Dampier as your second choice. Must better chance of getting him in a SnT. Plus, your center rotation is Dampier/Dalembert/Bradley/#9
Dirk, Nash, Daniels, Howard all still on the roster.

The trade would be a joke IF the trade is not leading up to a Shaq trade. Finley is a MUCH better player than Robinson - the straight up trade is the one that I said was a joke. There is a limit to how valuable ANOTHER expiring contract is without a goal. The alternative trade that I suggested is slightly more reasonable (where we get Dalembert) but it is still one-sided to Philly.
