Nellie is apparently also out with the flu.

indeed.
I didn't know if Nellie was a joke either. Unfortunately he (nelson) has decided that the pre-season means absolutely nothing
Toronto got flu shots. Apparently our broke-ass team can't afford them.

I doubt it. It isnt listed on the NBA league pass schedule. It is an HDnet exclusive.

Oops. Gullible me. Nellie's not a joke. He won't be on the sidelines today.

any word on Harris? If we are missing both, plus Finley, Stackhouse, Dickau, Daniels and Nellie, then I shouldnt even follow this game. M'Benga and Harris putting in the effort and energy makes the game worth listening to at least.

RE: Mavs v. Spurs
As far as I know Harris is good to go, Dickau is probable, Fin is questionable, and Stack and Quis are out like JT. Haven't heard anything about Josh after his short night against the Knicks so I assume he'll play.

RE:Mavs v. Spurs
What the hell is this? 3/4 of our starters are injured/sick. 2 of our coaches aren't there, even one announcer is sick. Why? We have one preseason game left after this. This isn't good. Unless they are just evaluating how Avery will manage the team. Especially against Popovich.
Nellie said they needed a quick start to the season. I don't see this happening with all the injured/sick players we have.

RE:Mavs v. Spurs
HEre are a few things I want to see from tonight even if we get blown out.
some play by Howard. I want to see him rebound again.
I want to see Dampier and M'Benga combine for 40+ minutes
I want to see Harris and Dirk playing two-man game for at least 4-5 minutes.
Other than that, this game may be a throw-away. I thought that we would come in and play hard because it was a serious opponent, but I guess not. Sasser, Hood and Lopez are getting free publicity and this should be another helping of it.
P.S. I wouldnt mind seeing Harris and AJ playing "follow the leader" out there.

RE: Mavs v. Spurs
Good thoughts. Here are some other things
Dickau - Will get some burn. Can he make his open shots
Benga, Howard & Damp - can they control their fouls
Harris - How will he handle the half court sets? Does he make the pass that leads to the pass that leads to the assist?
Booth - How does he look facing the bucket?

they say Damp had three dunks, but one of them was a point blank layup, loaded by Howard.

Other than Nowitzki's practice shot, we have scored on every single posession.
Howard with 3 assists in 3:30

Dirk and Damp bringing the offense early. Combined 6-7 shooting for all the Mavs 12 points.
Too bad Duncan is out.

Sasser forgets that we've come a long way since 2001-2002 when we shot in the first 5 seconds of the shotclock.
