Eddie Jordan, fired.
I only wanted to post this because there are a few peeps on the ESPN comment section calling for Avery. I think that's funny - that's a few too many egos for that team.

Avery would be a great hire for the Wizards. He'd fit right into their philosophy of bowing out in the first round.

Well he was on the hot seat last year, Jordan...so a slow start (injuries or not) wasn't going to help him. For some reason last year I thought Washington might be one of the teams on a short list that Avery might fit. Washington was near the bottom of the list, but still on the list at least. Who knows.
Best of luck to Eddie.

Well this couldn't have helped.

The final straw for Jordan appears to have been a 122-117 loss Saturday night to the undermanned New York Knicks, who had only seven players available.

Yeah, I would say that would definitely send him out.
Injuries always seemed to hurt that squad. It's a nice trio of Arenas, Butler and Jamison but they could never really stay healthy (like the Rockets). They had a better chance of it because the East wasn't as tough during the time. It's a tough break.

I don't know that that team would benefit from iso's. Learning defense would obviously help, but that team needs movement.

He'd definitely do something to the defense...offense he better learn to let someone else do that job.

Like Arenas said... last place isn't such a bad place to be if it's one of those seasons your probably going to miss the playoffs.
EJ was a great coach and I don't think he was the problem in Washington. Their problem is they suck. It probably has something to do with their max guy being out for such an extended period.

Avery would kill Arenas' game and there would be an ongoing feud between the two. There are reports that Avery could end up in Oklahoma which would make more sense considering that team is young and will submit to the dictator type of control Avery desires.

I'm not sure why Eddie Jordan wasn't fired this past summer.
Like D'Antoni, he couldn't teach defense if someone held a gun to his head.
