I think the most realistic option for the Mavericks is Jason Richardson, in terms of a guy who would make them significantly better. Rip Hamilton would have been an option but if Avery is going to DET he won't want J-Ho back, especially after he totally ignored him near the end of their tenure together.

This is not Maverick related, but anyone want to tell me who the hell this kid right here is? Eric Gordon, plays for the Clips. Those stats look great, but I've never even heard of him. Made over 100 three's, shot high FG and 3PT percentages, 16 PPG.

Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention he's 20.

Gordon was the 7th pick out of Indiana. He is a real nice shooter. Dunleavy is high on him, thought he should have won ROY even. I don't think he's going anywhere. His Bball IQ is a bit low too.

One thing is for sure. Some of you guys need to cut it out with the profanity, given the number of children on the board.

Couldn't have done it without BGMaverick9 . At 369 posts I don't think there's a topic in this thread he hans't commented on.
As far as being a record there are some pretty long threads in the lounge so I doubt it's approaching a forum record.

You're pretty articulate for a 15-year-old. Just saying.

I attribute a lot of this thread's size to the return of a lot of the old timers and the addition a couple newer guys (BG comes to mind)
great catch, chum.

RC is not picking up ANYONE who is not athletic and can play defense. I'm very happy to see SOME sort of philosophy coming out of the mavs bt. Something tangible and not:
- got a ring on their finger
- had a good year shooting the three ball.
- veteran savvy guy.
Quite,quite refreshing.

This board would generally be a much better place if you sike/chum/Flaco/kg_vet era guys would post more often in the substantial, Mavericks-related threads.

I attribute it to the great discipline and exacting standards our new stable of moderators have brought with them. You have really done an impressive job keeping all the conversation in one place. I know that I, for one, am deeply appreciative of your efforts. There are no words...really, no words.
Orrrr...maybe apathy is dying a quick death in Mavsland!

KG is the presence sorely missing from this thread (and others).
I hope he starts posting his thoughts once a few of these moves become official.

The Q-Ross thread alone has almost 100 posts. The natives are restless because we see the window closing and realize that this summer may be our last chance to remain relevant.
Fortunately you get the feeling that the front office senses the same thing.

We can talk NHL if you want. I think Sergei Federov's squad is going to win a great many matches this coming compaign. But Al MacInnis is no slouch.

KG posts occasionally at LMF. On this deal, I don't recall whether he said it likes it or not, but he did say that logic would dictate moving Howard next for a quality 2.

I know KG's on record as stating that he's not interested in Josh playing SG. That's one of the reasons I've been interested to get his take.

I am told I am a very good writer in school. I had one teacher say about one of my essays that it was senior-level writing. And I enjoy writing, and I write a lot. Heck, one reason I'm so good at writing is because I post on message boards. I probably have over 10,000 posts on various boards. Plus, I've written short stories and other stuff.
But thanks for he compliment. I try not to act like a kid, because its obxious. I think I've done a pretty good job, perhaps besides my infatuation with Gerald Green and his dunking.

Don't know how serious you are (it was sarcasm, right?), but as someone who frequents basketball courts and gyms...let's just say this site is very mild.
