I have started a virtual GM league for Dallas-Mavs.com.

We have run this in previous years and it has been very competitive. Hopefully we can have a good league this year. I have set this one up as a weekly (rather than daily) comp, because it is not always possible to change your roster on a daily basis. I can change to daily, if required, up until the day before the season starts.

The details are:

Group Name: Dallas-Mavs.com Daily

Password: Dallas

So join me, I'm the Rubber Duckies!
NBA Virtual GM

After a groundswell of support for a daily league, I tried to change it to a daily league, but there was no luck. However, I had to create a new league to make this change.

Here are the instructions to enter the new league.
1. On the first screen you see, on the right hand side, click on leave your group.
2. Enter "Dallas-Mavs.com Daily" in the search for a group comp.
3. Enter the password "Dallas"

Cool. It's great to have everyone joining up.

It's a weekly comp, so, if required you can leave your team for the whole season.

The daily version just takes far too much time.

Thanks Oz..but I'm going to let the rest of ya'll fight it out this year and sit on my crown until Sweets kicks everyone's butts...she gave me a hell of a scare last year.

I would join AND WIN, however, I want to play the real way, daily. It takes 5 minutes a day max, most of you'll spend at least 20 minutes hear a day, so I don't but the time thing, you don't have 5 free minutes a day? What kind of commitment is this? I'm already trying fantasy hockey & Yahoo basketball for the first time this year, does this take a lot of time? (I'm determined to master fantasy this year. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img])

Very easy. The daily one required you to visit the site every single day and change your team. With the weekly option, you can leave your team for the whole season, if you like.

Because the league is set to weekly, I believe your team will default to weekly when entered into the league.

I have changed it to a daily league- You will need to follow the instructions in the edited first post to change your team from the weekly league to the daily league.

Ok, I officially do not understand how this game works. I thought the lineup that we picked was for the first home game of the season? I picked my lineup, wasn't it supposed to be for last night? I looked and it said Oct 30th? Please, can someone explain it to me!

every time you set your new team, you are setting it for tomorrow. So the points you will get tonight are a result of yesterday's picks.

just make sure every one you pick is playing against someone for the next day

If you didn't change your roster, the same will run for tonight's results.

Make today the changes for tomorrow's games.

Choose players who have game tomorrow. Don't choose players that are currently injured.

Try to make your roster totalizing closest to 100 points. Never more cause it wouldn't participate.

definitely wont be the case after tonight, i didnt change my lineup for tonight and some of my guys didnt play, because some were off and some were injured. but i changed it for tomorrow, so you guys wont be as lucky now. i understand how it works. thanks for the help you guys, i appreciate it
