The worst part of this thread is in fact, that it exists. I had all but forgotten about him.

On a scale of 1-10 of dissapointment where 10 is crushing and drepressing news and 0 is complete apathy:

=Not using the Buck shot is a 4
=Our 15th man who may only get PT in the playoffs having a minor injury that may make him miss the first 4-6 weeks of the season? I'd estimate its about a 0.3

Honestly until we need a killer from three to spread the floor, Singleton>>>>>>>>>>>>Thomas for regular season play.

He should have just workout on his own at the gym on conditioning or train with Shawn Marion's trainer to get himself ready for the long season instead of playing a pickup game.

But the big difference between Dwyane Wade and Tim Thomas is that Tim Thomas sucks...

I don't care about him blowing a kiss to Dirk 4 years ago - I care that we have a total douchebag sparing it up at the end of our bench when we could be developing talent with that roster spot (but we just brought back Singleton, so my point is pretty much moot - Tim Thomas can't hurt us if he's 12 or 13 in the rotation...)

I bet Tim Thomas hates the Beatles.

If we wanted to, that would certainly answer our roster situation, but at the same time I want Tim Thomas on the roster to be this years Walt Williams. The guy can flat out play at times and can be a very coldblooded shooter from range. I dont see why we'd really want to waive a vet minimum guy that can has a potential to make an impact in the playoffs, but if thats your opinion then I respect it.

I'm of the same opinion erica. I am willing to slight the past history if the guy can make a clutch bucket or two. Everyone in the NBA eventually changes jerseys, hell even the greatest of all time did. So, we really have to let go of this emotional baggage and place trust in our FO. I'm amazed people are still so emotional about it, meanwhile dirk has made a statement insinuating that alls in the past. I think it's about time you guys LIG it too. (let it go) ... as for my previous statement, I'm just worried we will be stuck with a salary on our books all year long, of someone that ends up having to rehab 2-3 months into the season. Now that would be a waste of a spot

SAN ANTONIO(AP) -- Spurs forward Richard Jefferson could miss the start of training camp after dislocating his right thumb.

Jefferson was injured Tuesday while working out at the Spurs' practice facility. X-rays were negative, and the 29-year-old swingman is expected to be re-examined next week.

The Spurs called the injury minor. Training camp begins Sept. 29.

Jefferson was the marquee addition in a busy offseason for San Antonio, coming to the Spurs in a four-player deal with Milwaukee. He has not missed a game the past two seasons.
