Default finley for thomas w/twist

With zeke saying that they would not give up thomas for fin what if we throw in a first round pick in exchange for a 2nd round pick from NY. This makes it more appealing to the knicks where in all reality if we end the season with 55 wins and ny ends with 41 we will probley only drop 12 to 15 spots in the draft. Just a thought wanted some opinons.

NY's already loaded with SG's. They already shot this down, I doubt they'd change their minds if we threw in a pick.

Yeah, can't go giving 1st rounders away to unload Finley. I understand the concept, and if we had some extra one's laying around it would be a decent idea, but the next 1st round pick that we can legally trade is our 2009 1st rounder.

With the additions that the Knicks have already made, why would they want to take on Finleys contract? Marberry, Q Richardson and Crawford are on the team, they signed J.James and L. Brown so far they have made no mistakes in the off season. Expect them to release Houston and they clear-up a big cap problem and a log-jam at the position.

Why would they not solve there cap problems in one step by cutting Houston? Why would they want to add a 17M player that is toward the end of his career, but not toward the end of the contract?

The kninks payrole is 119 mil this upcoming season. After they let thomas, penny, and houston go thay still are in luxury tax by far. Fin is a useable player unlike the current knicks(save thomas).
