well, i can't say i hate to see him go
i hate his managerial tactics... his driven several pitchers off that could have been decent players for the team ..but he had such a short leash at times..many of the pitchers that have been successful elsewhere have said that with oates, they were always looking over their shoulder and knew that with one mistake, they were out of the game and into the doghouse(this is talking about relief pitchers)
and with a team that hits into alot of double plays, you have to start the runners sometimes....
but, he's a class guy, and i wish him nothing but the best.
besides, with this current pitching staff, casey stengel couldn't manage this team to a 85 win season
