Theisman or Napoleon Kaufman breaking his leg. I also remember a goalie for the Sabres pre-Hasek days, getting his jugular vein gut by a skate. That was gruesome and scary

Actually, you are thinking of Napoleon McCallum. I remember that. I was hurting just watching it, then I got scared because I was a running back also. I had visions of it happening to me.

Rudy T getting his face smashed in by Kermit Washington. Or Don Zimmerman taking a 100 mph fastball in the side of the head (he had to have a steel plate inserted).

Without a doubt, baseball season last year, Bryce Florie (pitcher for the Red Sox) getting hit in the face by a line drive...blood everywhere, and he may never pitch again on the big league level because of continuing vision problems.

Doh, that reminds me Hales.
3 year ago. Rangers at Tampa Bay. Don't remember the guys name but he winds up to throw the pitch. SNAP, breaks his arm. You could hear it through the TV set.

Oooh yeah, I believe your right Hales. And I think he broke it again while going through his rehab, thus ending his career.
