Not a Shamet fan. Strange move one would think they’d want picks for Harden?

Rosas has reshaped the Timberwolves perimeter talent tonight: Drafting Anthony Edwards, Leandro Bolmare, Jaden McDaniels in the first round -- and acquiring Ricky Rubio.

I just think he somehow became way overvalued. He’s a decent 3 point shooter but doesn’t add much else. Not much of a defender. Little playmaking. No rebounding.

In one of our playoff games RC roasted him with Burke repeatedly and then they switched him on to Seth and he scored a couple straight on him as well before slow Doc adjusted and took him out. It swung that game for us if im remembering right. Which I may not be! In fairness, not having Beverley really hurt their perimeter defense that series.

Wow. That's pretty devastating to come back from a season-ending injury --- just to have a season-ending injury

Wonder if he'll ever play again. I'd say the odds were pretty low.

His game isn’t based off his athleticism. He’s a spot up shooter with a high b-ball IQ. I imagine he plays again, and can still be a good player. He won’t be the number 2 guy on a title team, but there’s a role for him in the league.

Klay will most definitely play again. I think the biggest facet of his game that will be greatly impacted is his defense. As BPO said, he doesn't rely on athleticism a la Powell (who will be interesting to see on his own), but his value definitely takes a hit since he won't be able to provide as much. He's only 30.

Man, that's horrible news. I always root against the Warriors, but I wouldn't wish an achilles tear on ANY player. That's the single most devastating injury a basketball player can have.

Klay by all accounts seems like a really great guy too. I want the Warriors to lose, but not this way.

The Golden State Warriors are nearing a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder to acquire Kelly Oubre Jr., sources tell Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Warriors will absorb Oubre, and his $14.4M salary into their $17.2M trade exception once the deal is done.

It would cost the Warriors 82 freaking millions for one season of Oubre.

14m salary and 68m additional tax...woooof

Jesus. If I were the Warriors I’d start rebuilding instead of piecing together an incredibly overpriced ill-fitting team. Start by trading Green for assets and then using those assets to get someone to take Wiggins. Keep Curry because he’s your Dirk. Keep Klay because you have to.

They have a salary sheet that would make Cuban blush and fold.

They gotta at least try to be good or fans will tune off and they’ll lose even more money.

They’re going to lose massive money no matter what but with Oubre and Curry, they can at least hover at .450-.500

I agree. They are about to miss their window to get anything for Draymond who has mayyyybe 2-3 semi-prime years left. They do have Minnesota’s top 3 or top 5 protected next draft. So they are still in good shape. I think they are better off rehabbing Wiggins value some. Though that will be more difficult without Klay now.

I know I said earlier that I thought the Harden-Nets thing would happen, but thinking and reading about it more, I think now it'll be Philly. Harden for Simmons + picks/swaps and whatever else to make the salaries match.

So Dwight Howard tweets that he's staying with the Lakers, then deletes the tweet and supposedly signs with the Sixers, and but apparently the deal isn't actually done and now he's "considering all of his options."

That is the most Dwight Howard thing ever.

did we have enough money available to match? - seems like a reasonable deal given the promise he showed. too bad...

Only time will tell if he’s worth it. It’s not outrageous money if he plays up to his promise.

If he turns into a Dampier who got paid and then stopped rising?

Then it’s still not awful but a bit of an overpay

I think this was one giant complicated trade that just took until now to complete. The 30th pick in the draft. The Ariza trade. The buying of the 2nd rounder. And this sign and trade

Would’ve been a SnT. That’s what Pistons/Rockets did.

Makes sense. So the cost would’ve been our #18. Josh Green better pan the F out.
