Getting your ass handed to you twice can do this. Of course this may not but network driven. It could very well be league driven.
I'm not going to the game but the late start gives those who are more time to get liquored up…take advantage of it.

Is that where I got that from? Yea, come to think of it that was one of Jimmy's theories. Well, the man knew what he was talking about.

Isnt this related to Stern saying yesterday or whenever it was that he really screwed up bad by scheduling the Mavs during the day Sunday?

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR MAVERICKS!
What a blast of a game. Howard was incredible, Devin was incredible, Dirk played his 'Spurs' role perfectly, everybody who played defense was great. I was loving it.
Take away Tim Duncan's foul line and this game feels like it could be a 40 point whuppin'.
Now, let's hold homecourt and SEAL this sumbitch!

It's dead heat, ladies and gents! Here is a friendly scoreboard update of the Former Big Three and their accompanying '03 Mav running mates in the 2006 Race to Sixteen.....
Dirty (Griff) - 5
Filthy (NVE) - 5
Nasty (Raja) - 5

After reading your post, rabbitproof, the only thing my mind was yelling at me was man, Avery Johnson deseves some real credit for coming up with the game-plan tonight. The Mavs absolutely picked apart the Spurs without Dirk forcing a thing. It was almost effortless.

Agreed. Although cats like Howard and Devin had outstanding games, it did not feel like they played superhuman games. It was just a mandhandling.
In fact, the gameplan went so well, with Dirk playing at an even higher efficiency level then normal and our forward positions giving us above average production then normal, that I would not be surprised if they play us straigth up and take their chances with Dirk in the next game (vs Horry/Duncan/Finley) - atleast part of the time.
