This one hurts, McNair was one of my all-time favorite players.

He was my son's favorite growing up, somewhat of a childhood hero for my son.

At this point, I do NOT want to know anything surrounding the circumstances of his death...as a fan, I would like to remember McNair for what he did as a QB of the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans and others.

Steve McNair, you are indeed being missed!!!

Awful news. Prayers go out to his family and friends.

The few details coming out are devastating to hear.

The more I think about it, the more it saddens and depresses me.

Sigh...

Sounds like it might be a murder-suicide. Door was locked, girl has one gunshot wound only, to the head.

What was their relationship? They were co-owners of the Escalade? What was the condo? A "white house" like the Cowboys used to have?

Tough to imagine a motive for her to kill him, though. Just a freaky weird story. Sad, indeed.

All I know is that it's bad news to co-own a car with a woman while you're married to a different woman.

Infidelity will almost always break up a marriage, and in this case the results ended the life of a man who gave a lot to his community. Young people out there should remember this if "cheating" looks tempting in their life.

Booty blindness always exacts a price, a horrible one in this case. This won't have any kind of long term deterrence. One of the symptoms is a severe case of denial and examples like Shaq and Michael Jordan and Kobie and idiot politicans aren't helping. Or a President of the United States. Apparently being the wife of a Rock Star or Pro Athlete gives certain elasticity to marriage bond in too many cases.
Not that was the case with the McNairs, who knows what the circumstances were, but I doubt it's going to deter anyone.

Generally, I don't make a habit of liking other players around the league.. I usually just like the Dallas Cowboys'.. and maybe a few local guys that have made it to the NFL. Well, McNair was an exception. I always liked the guy.. his toughness.. his leadership.. and his charity off the field.

Needless to say, I'm saddened by the events that have occurred. The loss of two young lives is tragic. It's also unfortunate to hear about what was occurring in his personal life..

Apparently he was wasted drunk when he got shot.

Maybe not the stand-up guy we all thought he was? What would we be saying about the dude right now if he'd only been mildly wounded while drunkenly cheating on his wife with a drugged out whore?
