Some trades for Best
Since Best has fallen out of favor, I have been looking for a big man that the Mavs can get for Best. All of these trade work salary wise. Just trying to find someone as an added body in the middle.
Dallas trades: PG Travis Best (3.5 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 2.4 apg in 15.9 minutes)
Dallas receives: C Samuel Dalembert (5.3 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 0.1 apg in 18.7 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +1.8 ppg, +3.3 rpg, and -2.3 apg.
Philadelphia trades: C Samuel Dalembert (5.3 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 0.1 apg in 18.7 minutes)
Philadelphia receives: PG Travis Best (3.5 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 2.4 apg in 19 games)
OR
Dallas trades: PG Travis Best (3.5 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 2.4 apg in 15.9 minutes)
Dallas receives: C Menk Bateer (1.1 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 0.1 apg in 5.7 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -2.4 ppg, -0.3 rpg, and -2.3 apg.
Toronto trades: C Menk Bateer (1.1 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 0.1 apg in 5.7 minutes)
Toronto receives: PG Travis Best (3.5 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 2.4 apg in 19 games)
OR
Dallas trades: PG Travis Best (3.5 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 2.4 apg in 15.9 minutes)
Dallas receives: C Josh Moore (3.5 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 2.4 apg in 15.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -3.5 ppg, -1.4 rpg, and -2.4 apg.
L.A. Clippers trades: C Josh Moore (3.5 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 2.4 apg in 15.9 minutes)
L.A. Clippers receives: PG Travis Best (3.5 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 2.4 apg in 19 games)
Josh Moore is 7'2 328 lbs. He's on the injured list though.

I'll take Dalembert. I like the guy. Blocks shots, rebounds. You could definitely make that deal.
Bateer is a super spare.
Josh Moore isn't ready to play. We need someone now.

Don't the Sixers have a pretty decent point guard named Eric Snow?

There is absolutely no way you would be able to get Dalembert for Best.

At least Bateer is tall... He played well in the summer games. I'm not saying he's the answer but he's another big guy the Mavs can plug at that rotating 5 spot.

Summer League, please, Bateer is the ultimate NBA scrub. He is so bad that he cant even get clock on the Raptors and they dont have any big guys, other than Bosh
