next year
until then...
PG: Harris / Calderon
SG: Ellis / Harris
SF: Marion / Carter
PF: Dirk / Blair
C: Dalembert / Wright
We are the 2nd worst team on defense right now. It must change.

The game was won at the charity stripe, as the Timberwolves hit 21-for-30 attempts from the line, while Dallas attempted just 11 free throws.

I do, actually. Marion is falling asleep on defence a lot. His on-ball defence is mostly good, but off-ball is not. He´s getting lazy, standing back on his heel. He completely lost Martin for a three at the 3:15 mark in the 4th, a crucial posession, and lost Brewer on a back-door cut at the 8:25 mark in the 1st.
These are just lazy mistakes. If you´re guarding Martin or Brewer you just cannot fall asleep.

We scored 106 points. No need to step up on offense.
Defense is the key.

Tell that to Rick who purposely ran that last play for VC against Atlanta.

Just because you bleed doesnt mean there is a foul.
He fell into Rubios Hip on that play after trying to get the Ball.
Was nothing on purpose. Rubio wasnt even going or looking in his direction

This team needs to get healthy quickly to avoid floundering around the .500 mark before the new year. Dirk's numbers have been great this year, but Rick's handling of him has been telling. It frustrates me just the same, but it isn't entirely unreasonable to suggest that Dirk may not have the energy to have play after play run for him in crunch time like in years passed. He is entering the later Tim Duncan phase of his career right now, where he is such a skilled player that he will still be statistically up there with the best in the league, but just doesn't have the pep in his step that he had in his prime to take over in crunch time.
Or, hey, maybe he is intent on conserving that energy for the playoffs, which would be ideal. Dirk isn't "done", but to suggest that his lack of presence late in games is totally due to Rick's mistakes is unrealistic IMO. In the meantime, the defense can't cut it. Even when Wright and Harris return, this team needs a trade for an elite defensive big man. The defense makes this team hard to watch in many ways, one of them is the frustrating way in which they are unable to close games (especially on the road), but also the feeling that the team is so very close to being a contender.

Rubio elbowed him in the nose. It was a BLATANT foul. It doesn't matter if it was an accident or not. If you don't know anything about basketball, it's okay to just shut up.

blatant: very obvious and offensive; (of bad behavior) done openly and unashamedly.
accident: a sudden event that is not planned or intended.

FAIL. The foul was BLATANT -- VERY OBVIOUS -- to the refs. Rubio's intent wasn't BLATANT. But the foul was. Thank you, come again.

Rubio didnt do it on purpose but Dirk had the space first- therefore it shouldve been a foul.
i.e. Rubio ran into Dirk and not vice versa

Exactly. It's not that complicated...except for Special U.D. and his cronies.

It's not the 1st time when Rubio tries to steal the ball.....and Dirk's head, too.

It's the typical "over motivated european player" BS. They play 150% against Dirk and risk injuries. Kirilenko did the same (till Dirk fouled him hard), or Koufos, Turkoglu and many others.

Those blazers that don't have enough players to compete are 13 of 14 and put out the pacers last night.

Players 8-14 really only count during the regular season to keep players fresh and to avoid injuries. When the playoffs start and in big games, its all about the starters and a couple of backups.

Haha, devastating. How will they make a run with only 6 legit players to rely on?
