Not my favorite but still damn freaking awesome. I need to find a friend that hasn't seen any GoT so I can watch from the beginning a third time.

Definitely a good episode.. doesn't compare to the final few episodes of Breaking Bad..but, really good.

I'm a huge GoT fan ..both the books and the show. Well, the show has had the same issue that the books have had..too slow to advance the plot. That definitely wasn't an issue the past couple of episodes.

GoT is awesome...books are even better. Show has mostly stuck to the story (well, until they passed it). I'm anxiously awaiting Winds of Winter, which has taken FOREVER for him to finish. But he's said it might take not one, but two more books after that for him to finish...and I don't think he'll do it. Which would irritate the crap outta me...all that time and never really know how things work out.

GoT fans could give a try at The Last Kingdom. Both have their similarities and while TLK can't compete with GoT, it may very well be the next best thing other than watching GoT episodes all over again.

I've stuck with Westworld although mainly because I'm paying for HBO and waiting on Game of Thrones. Westworld just seems slow and I'm just not getting that emotional buy-in with the robots.

Glen Howerton is likely leaving It's Always Sunny. Kinda sad, but the show has been on 12 seasons.

I watched the entire first season of Westworld...after the season, I was pretty sure it was a really good show and I think I really liked it. But, I'm not quite sure about either.. it was just ...odd.

Yeah, it seems like the first season pretty much played out like the first act of a three-act story... I'm still on board, but it is kind of odd to have almost no idea where the story is headed after watching an entire 10-episode season.

Honestly can't say if I liked Westworld or not. I was intrigued and excited for the next episode when it came out weekly, but I;'m not sure I'd say that I enjoyed it.

Black Sails on the other hand. That's a fun show that I actually really like.

These cable networks need to come up with cheaper online a la carte solutions if they want to get my money -- this shit adds up quick! (which is probably the point; it eventually becomes cheaper just to get cable...)

For comparison:

Netflix: $10/month (Stranger Things, BoJack Horseman, Black Mirror, Master of None, The OA, Bloodline, House of Cards, Sense8, Narcos, With Bob & Dave, Daredevil/Jessica Jones/Luke Cage/Iron Fist/The Defenders)

HBO Now: $15/month (Game of Thrones, Westworld, True Detective, The Leftovers, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Vice Principals, Animals... Plus older shows like The Wire, The Sopranos, Flight of the Concords, Deadwood, Eastbound & Down, Band of Brothers/The Pacific, etc.)

Amazon Prime: $11/month (The Man in the High Castle) + Starz: $10/month (American Gods) = $21/month for just 2 shows??

Nah...

American Gods was really interesting. Really bizarre, but the book was, too.

More than anything, we need more buddy movies where the god, Odin and a badass ex-con try to put together a crew.

Actually, we get Amazon Prime for the free shipping. Amazon as perfected online shopping. That one click button to buy stuff is extremely dangerous. Just click it .... you know want to ... it's ok, it's for the family.

The prime now app, which I just recently discovered, is really amazing. Their delivery system is pretty much unmatched and even tracks the driver.

Back to shows...

Started watching the second season of The Last Kingdom on Netflix. Far less focused than the first season.

Yes, it's hokie I know, but I actually enjoy Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. They move through stories at a pretty good pace where most series draw out their story lines and try to make them last a full season. SHIELD seems like it's trying to cram a story into a single season.

I'm ready for The Americans to start closing down and move to the series ending storylines. It's been a great series, but I feel they are running out of ideas. It's time to figure out how they are going to end it. Do they go back to Russia? Do they defect after realizing they been lied to several times? When will Stan finally realize they are spies and try to arrest them?

TOTALLY agree about the Americans. I think the show fell apart when they focused too hard on Paige...who is horribly annoying. They have laid off her a bit more this season, but I still can't really stand her.

But yeah, the plots get stretched too far. I'm just frankly bored now watching it which sucks because it was once a really good show.

Nah...
Mad Dogs and Sneaky Pete are good Prime shows. They also have some older seasons of cable shows. I watched season one of the Expanse on prime, then had to go the illegal route to watch most of season two, because the syfy app only had the last five episodes available.

It's a great show..but shows like this have to have an ending in sight in my opinion. That's what made Breaking Bad so great. There was an end.. they knew where they were going .

As I'm watching Sesame Street with my children, I find myself wondering if the same person that does the voice for Cookie Monster is the same as the voice of Grimlock from Tranformers.

PBS kids has taken over..

Edit: google just showed me that it isn't the same voice actor.

Me Grimlock say we on our way.

I had the pleasure to re-live my childhood and watched Transformers The Movie at the drafthouse Richardson. Still a classic.

I'm finally watching the first season of Twin Peaks so I can catch up on the new episodes.

Never saw the original, but this new one is the single weirdest thing I've ever seen. TV or film.

Anyone in here watching American Gods?

I am.

Loved the book. Loving how they adapted it to TV. Still a little too much exposition for someone who hasn't read them and isn't squealing for joy at every cool thing from the books.

Should I read the book? If so, should I read it now or later (after the first season, etc.)? I like the show and could see myself loving it, but torn at this point.

Nice. I think I watched that movie at least 30 times over the course of my life. Roughly 25 times as a kid and 5 times as an adult. Unicron was so terrifyingly mind blowing as a kid.

SPOILER WARNING

So, Kim Wexler is going to be killed, and this will be the final nail in Jimmy Mcgill's coffin that turns him into Saul Goodman.

Is this just speculation or you know this as fact? If this is a fact, then a total dick move.

Finally got around to watching the first two seasons of Fargo.

Wow.

That is an absolutely incredible show. Now I'm just waiting for the last two episodes of S3 so I can binge season 3.
