Default Any feedback on POPS

Pardon me, but I've been swamped and my off time has been loaded down with Stars and Cowboys stuff...needless to say and unfortunately, I have not been able to catch up on Mavs info.

Seems like the Core is back and waiting for the real games...now we have young guns and newbies fighting out for a spot on this years run at the Championship.

This past summer, one player showed major upside and received spot interest from various people...yet I have not seen or heard any stories on him during training camp.

What can you guys tell me about POPS? Has he shown anything in training camp? Is he healthy? What's the current story on him?

Who else from the new or young guys (Rookies) has stood out and appears to be ready to fill a signficant role an taking this team back to the Championship round?

Pops sold his soul to the devil for his rugged good looks and unparalleled basketball ability. Shortly after the transaction was finalized, Pops roundhouse kicked the devil in the face and took his soul back. The devil, who appreciates irony, couldn't stay mad and admitted he should have seen it coming. They now play poker every second Wednesday of the month.

pops must not be impressing AJ cause he is not seeing a lot of preseason pt.

Ager is looking like all he needs is polish and he might be the real deal. Just needs to learn to say "no" to taking the jumper at times...but at least he's agressive.

I agree, although I can't imagine he'll shoot like that in a regular season game. I'd have to think Avery is giving him the green light during the preseason.

I really like what I saw from Ager. The athleticism, aggresiveness, and even the shot is there. Polish is the perfect word. I have high hopes.

IMO, Pops and Ager to the D-League.

I don't think Ager beats out George, Bucknor, Stack, Terry, Harris -- so he doesn't see playing time.

Pops can't beat out Howard, George, Bucknor, Croshere, or Dirk.

Both have upside, but will only show it in Dallas this year, if injuries happen.

Ager might be best benefited from a year in the DLeague and then next season come fill in stack's spot.

It should be Mavs THEN Stars and Cowboys .....Pops won't be playing much. Ager is the only one with any real chance of playing of the rookies.

At least it's NOT Rangers!!!

Actually I'm getting ready to get my fill of MLS as FC Dallas is competing in the Semi-Finals and have a shot to play in the Finals in a few weeks.

It's all good and fun...much better than Baseball...I'm so through with baseball...

I remember reading a post about Lyons being fired and I was trying to figure out what team he managed...only later to find out that he was one of the announcers.

Thanks for the updates...I'm looking forward to the regular season starting and seeing this Mavs team reach the top of the NBA!!!

As usual I'm picking the Mavs to win the NBA Championship this year...but I can't figure out who will lose coming out of the East?
