to add to Murph and BBL, I agree that for a show with high hopes...it sure does have a shakey cast and shakey acting...
oh...and how in the world did the son not see the note book jammed into the ladtop...pretty dumb...lots of things about it are really pretty dumb...
the only thing that has kept me plugged it is that my buddy and I watch it together...

good episode, but we pretty much went nowhere with all of the characters (except Hiro).
small stuff with the flying brothers (the brother not being able to fly while the other isn't around sure does lend credence to the theory we talked about above). nothing with alter-ego girl and cheerleader. a little bit with the cop (being abducted). and then a little with the painter (the fact that he actually wants to paint now, instead of being afraid of it).

yeah I agree with the bit about the guy trying to fly. (I still dont know any of their names)
THe craziest crap we saw last night was in the previews for the next episode. Did you see that shot of the cheerleader with her chest sliced open for an autopsy? It was a little cheesy but still....
the japanese guys crack me up.
Studio 60 was good again.

Wait, that was the previews? I thought that was the end of the episode when we saw her on the autopsy table. Maybe I'm not remembering properly.
BBL, I thought we went a little ways with the alter-ego chick. I mean, we at least found out more about her, found out what the older bodies were about at the burial spot.
I really liked last night's episode, although that chick hanging out with the professor's son can NOT act.

the professor's son is poor actor as well.
also...there is no way the Father is actually dead. That actor is a famous one and would not sign on to just "lend" his face to the back of a book...mark my words he will show up some how in this show...in flashbacks, or in a changed future whatever...he'll show up.
actually liked the scene with the chick all cut up...but did find it odd that there was no dr. around
the mirror chick's power is still a mystery to me...I wants to undertand it!!!

also...I think its dull writing that has had this cheerleader chick "die" so many times on accident...cheesey. we get it...she can't die unless you leave the device of her demise in the wound.

I agree. I'm sure this series of events is meant to drive her to leave wherever the hell she is and interact with these other people. Or to draw attention to her, setting certain events in motion.
But you're right....it doesn't need to keep happening over and over....

Yeah, I noticed the cheerleader thing last night as well. It's not just here though, the entire squad is always wearing their uniforms at school, correct?
Very weird.

BBL, it has to be more than a split personality...or its not so "super" at all...what is it about the other personality that makes her a potential "hero"??? I can't figure it out yet....anyone have any clues?

What if the narrator's father isn't really dead? Maybe he could be Syler, still trying to track down the mutants, but with a different person in mind... and maybe the short haired chick is in cahoots with his dad, and just befriending the narrator in order to get information, or somesuch? More importantly, do I have any good chocolate in the house??? I'll keep you all posted...

I finally watched these 3 episodes and I'll say I'm pretty intrigued. I just can't grasp the concept yet, but it's too early I guess. Is this going to be a short-lived story, or a never-ending one?
After watching the last one, after the Cheerleader woke up with her chest split (which, when is the last time you saw this much blood on a regular TV show non-episodic?) I couldn't help but be reminded of two shows I got hooked on last year. Surface, and Invasion.
I really don't want to expend the interest only to be lost in a cancellation. I know they picked it up for the rest of the year... but they did the same to Surface and Invasion. I'll give it a couple more shows I think before deciding.
But man, Studio 60 is really good. I think that might make my regular rotation.

Honestly, Studio 60 probably has a better chance of being cancelled prematurely than Heroes. Studio 60 has a huge operating budget, and they are not getting the ratings they were looking for.
I fear a premature ending for it, and it's a shame, because it's a great show.

CSI Miami is destroying it, which is just sad.
But, they had to know that this might be a bit of a niche type show.
I haven't read that they're at all close to cancelling it, but they are definitely not getting the ratings they expected.

Studio 60 did pick it up this week, apparantly.
BTW, if you do some reading around on TV ratings, Heroes is REALLY starting to pick up steam. This could end up being Lost all over again.

well, that kind of view is always prevalent on CSI (don't know about Miami and NY, i never watch those). lots of blood on that show.
i am also now in the boat of believing that the elder suresh is actually Sylar. the fact that it's a decently well-known actor, and the whole hidden sylar room (another map, and all the "FORGIVE ME"s written on the wall) backs it up for me.
good to see ratings increasing for Heroes. Studio 60 is a weird show to match up with Heroes, but I like them both... plus, Studio 60 is across from CSI:Miami, which is popular for some strange reason. i hate david caruso. he's a joke.

not a chance. Lost started out with amazing actors, plot lines, and direction...this show has an interesting premise and that is all.
I assume your comment was directed at raitings comparisons though...

Well, I'm not sure what amazing actors you're referring to. Lost had a couple of recognizable faces, but certainly no one with any real draw.
Heroes is picking up on word of mouth, and is like Lost in that it is VERY big on the internet, with lots of message boards with debates over the smallest things in every show.
Ratings wise, it's already the most viewed new show of the season.
Put all those things together, and it most certainly has Lost-type potential.

The Horatio, sunglasses on top of head.... then flipped down as he spews out his reassuring words of calm and wisdom is by far the funniest thing on Television.
I am pretty hooked on it.

ha ha. you know that insert that comes with the sunday paper - USA WEEKEND?
they run letters from readers, and this was one from a few weeks ago. i thought it was hilarious.

Can you tell me why "CSI: Miami's" David Caruso turns to one side when he is addressing someone on the show? I've never seen anyone do this strange sideways speaking move.

You're not the only one who has noticed what we see as Caruso's annoying tic. We're told it's "acting."

I agree with this, but i do watch Law&Order/SVU because they came out first. All these CSIs, Numbers, Boston Legal, Without a Trace are all knockoffs, that's why i watch reality shows most of the time.

CSI is not a knockoff of Law and Order. it's really unique in its own right. dealing heavily in the forensics aspect, as opposed to just straight police-work. granted, it did come out 10 years after Law & order, but i really don't think the shows are similar at all, aside from simply dealing with crimes.
but again, i'm not defending CSI:Miami or NY

No, i'm saying all these shows are knockoffs of each other. Example, Boston Legal=Sharks(or whatever that James Woods show is)=The Practice. Numbers=Without a Trace.
There's so many of them, i don't have time to keep up with them.
