GDT Game 66 - Mavs (20-45) vs Grizzlies (18-47) 7:30pm FSSW
@coopmavs: Mavs likely to play @doefinney_10 and sit @NerlensNoel3 vs MEM. DFS hasn't played since Nov 12. Per @CAGrizBeat Griz likely will sit Marc Gasol.. He has not played on 2nd night of BTB post ASB. MEM lost at home to Utah on Fri 95-78. #Itsthattimeofyear

We’re going to win this. Honestly most of college basketball’s top-25 would probably win versus the Grizz.
Also, this is neither there nor here, but one of my best friend’s is a Grizz fan and we already have plans to kick back and get schwasted while watching the draft.
Cool story I know, but I guarantee it’s better than this game is going to be.

DSJ is a game time decision? My interest in this game is going from low to non existent if he doesn't play.

...and this is a very, very, very short story by J. Otter... Spoiler Alert: The Grizzlies do not survive and die tragically in the end....
Mavs - 96

@bobbykaralla: Wesley Matthews, Dorian Finney-Smith and Dennis Smith Jr. (left knee soreness) are listed as questionable for tonight's game. Nerlens Noel (return from injury management) is out. Matthews and Smith are listed as projected starters.
@bobbykaralla: Matthews has missed the previous two games. Finney-Smith could make his return tonight after missing the last four months. This is the first back-to-back since Noel's return.

@bobbykaralla: Carlisle says Dennis Smith Jr. will not play tonight due to a sore left knee. Doesn't want him playing two straight nights on that knee. "Not considered serious."
Welp.

Serious question - and I love the guy - but how
many games has DSJ missed this season because of his left knee?
I'm thinking it has been 6 to 8 games - something or nothing?

Is that the same knee he has surgery on? Definitely a concern.

I’m sure if this was a meaningful game he’d play.
It’s hard to remember that DSJ will not have spent a full year in the NBA system until July... kid can’t buy a drink yet. I definitely anticipate him adding muscle to his legs this offseason to help alleviate any knee issues.

If it wasn't for Harrison Barnes on the floor, I'd swear this was a G-League game.

Not watching the game, will someone please explain to me how Harrison has more free-throw attempts in one half then he’s had all season?

Mavs were in the bonus for most of the half, Barnes kept taking it to the hoop on the scrubs Memphis trotted out there.

The Grizz are trying to build a prison to lock up Ayton with all those bricks... Poor guy.

Dude can barely get any burn in a scrub match... Worst contract in the NBA?

JJB really will have done more harm than good this season. I know this was a loss and the Mavs have no choice but to play him, but damn...

Except you could take away all 18 of Barea's points and we'd still be up by 3... Memphis is just turrible.

Nothing to feel sorry.
I mean, before the FA it was clear that we wouldnt offer him a deal at all. That wasnt a red flag for the rest of the league, that was a nuclear explosion. The desperate Mavs with Dirk on his last legs prefer to let him walk and maybe sign no one as replacement.
And yet, Parsons received two max offers...Memphis and Portland. I dont feel sorry at all.

Yepper, also had a couple defensive tips/reflections that didn't show up in the box score. Really hope we can find a way to bring him back next season.
