I think it's pretty even. Fin was better in some catergories, whereas, Dirk was better in others. Fin had his momemts, Dirk had his. Im a Finley fan, have made no secret about it and think he was the MVP of the series. Some here think Dirk was MVP, no biggie. I didn't post this to start an argument, it's just people like to look at statistics. That's how they break down.

i agree mavsfinfan
hell, i'm a huge dirk fan, but i would personally have to give the slight edge to finley this series.
my point all along has been that it's fin's team now but i think it will be dirk's in the future...but i don't want to argue about that right now
i want to enjoy the playoffs and i hope dirk, nash, finley, and bradley can all be productive this next series... plus, it would be nice to get production off of the bench, ...much like booth in game 5

The stats are very similar, but the 4.2 fouls/game for Dirk is a real concern. Hopefully he will keep out of foul trouble against the Spurs, who are much less thuggish. From game 5, it seems that Dirk has found how to handel the road crowd in the playoffs. Finley was our first series MVP, with Dirk not too far behind.

too bad it appeared that throughout the series it was hard for them both to get going at the same time. That's what the Mavs really need.

Hey erub - it did seem like Utah would try to shut down Finley at times. They didn't have an answer for Dirk. The only thing that kept UTAH from being swept was that Dirk needed to get used to playoff intensity basketball in games 1 & 2. Dirk was unstopabble in games 3 & 4 and only the refs stopped him in game 5.

yes, they do need both of them hot...and i think both of them are/will be. at least early in the series.
the mavs are gutsy, that's why they can survive without their leading scorer (dirk) and their second leading scorer (fin) going at the same time

actually, very few teams have anyone remotely capable of stopping dirk.
the same with fin, the only thing that will stop fin when his shot isn't going down and that's usually because of some forced shot attempts.
when dirk and/or fin are on, they will get their points.
heck, even nash, when he's on, he can create his own shots. he's awesome at that.
