Breaking News: Gatti's wife finds him dead on their honeymoon.

Fightnews.com is reporting (also confirmed by ESPN.com) that former world champion Arturo Gatti has been found dead while on his honeymoon in Brazil. He was found by his wife earlier today with a head injury.

Update: Boxingscene.com has confirmed that Brazilian authorities have named Arturo Gatti's wife as a suspect in his mysterious death. The report says that no gunshot wounds or stab marks were found but that there was blood stain around a purse strap.

Acelino Freitas also told reporters in Brazil (who was close to Gatti) that Gatti was having problems with his wife and that they were "about to seperate."

Killed by his wife on their honeymoon. That's a cold blooded biyatch.

Uh, i just went to holidays in Porto de Galinhas in April...

I would bet it was the result of an escalating fight about jelousness. He maybe looked at too many bikinis and thongs at the beach and flirted a little bit with the eyes. Lots of brazilian women has serious issues about that. Probably that was also allready in the past an issue.
