Cowboys 4-1 and undefeated in the NFC East. Who'd have thunk it?

He should be, those type of dumb plays aren't acceptable on a Parcells team. The guys preaches discpline and Hunter didn't show any today.

LEt's give credit to the o and d-line out there today. How many pro bowlers are out of that bunch? 2? Every single one of them played like studs.

The Defense has been great at times, but man what a bone head defensive hold by pete hunter. The kick off coverage was terrible in the fourth quarter. Greg Ellis is finally looking like the eighth overall selection that we took over randy moss. The rushing game was good in the second half when they finally gave up on trying to run on the edges and just ran it up the middle. Quincy Carter is barn none the most improved player in the game today funny what a season changes the outlook on a young qb. If it weren't for a few drops by Joey Galloway he would have had a much bigger game. The schedule doesn't seem so tough.

Willie Blade was cut by both the Cowboys and the Texans. He makes his way back and Parcell's decides to keep him. What kind of organization was being ran last season? Who knows how many players have been cut for guys like Mike Myers and Robert Thomas.

Did anybody get a good look at that pete hunter call?? There was only a wide angle shot and it looked questionable to me. Of course after watching bball last night everything looks questionable.

philly vs dallas thread
don't want to start a new thread, 'cos it is a sidenot of the game.
i suspected it, just too lazy to calculate, good that someone else did:
"Don't know for sure, but it seems the timekeeper at the Cowboys game Sunday was a little startled by Randal Williams' 37-yard return for a touchdown on the opening kickoff. The TD officially came at 14:57, which means it took three seconds.
Thirty-seven yards is equal to 33.83 meters. If you divide three seconds by 33.83 and multiply it by 100, that is 8.87 seconds.
The world record for the 100 meters is 9.78 seconds by Tim Montgomery, meaning Williams was faster Sunday. It was either a slight delay by the timekeeper, or the fact that Williams had a running start or, perhaps, that Williams is in the wrong sport. "

RE: philly vs dallas thread
I think they say he is the fastest guy on the team, and it couldv'e possibly been 3.something or just about to hit 14:56 who knows but I hear he is the fastest guy on the team for what it's worth.

sure, it could have been 3.9 seconds..as far as i know, the clock doesn't round..
it looked like the clock was started late AND stopped late.

You cannot extract a time for the 40 yard dash as an equivalent to the 100 either. It just doesn't work that way. I get your point, but you are comparing apples and oranges and getting lemons.

From Peter King's MMQB
Special Teams Player of the Week
Dallas WR Randal Williams, for his heads-up play in the first three seconds of the Cowboys-Eagles game -- and for scoring the quickest touchdown to begin a game in NFL history. In 2000, Andy Reid used an onside kick to open a Dallas-Philly game, and it worked like a charm, leading to an Eagles rout at Texas Stadium. Not this time. David Akers attempted the onside kick, but Williams was ready for it. He plucked it out of the air and ran 37 yards for the first touchdown of this NFL Sunday. The quickest touchdown in NFL history merited one of the classiest moves of the year. At the end of the game, Quincy Carter ran from the field to the Dallas sideline, and handed the ball to Williams. As if to say: "This is all yours, Hoss. You won this one for us."

He was also running stride for stride with Zuriel Smith on that last return. His blocking sprung Smith for an extra 10 yards.
