Default Brewer?

Per Marc Stein, Corey Brewer is on the trade block. I loved his energy and activity here... and it wouldn't hurt to get another wing defender on the roster (we really seem to lack a defender that can match up with 2/3 types).

Anyone else interested in a Felton/Ledo for Brewer type of trade?

I'd bite if it was just Ledo/Felton

We have a 2/3 defender on the roster that doesn't play. Don't think Brewer brings much of anything that would separate him from Crowder.

Brewer's a better athlete (can guard all three wing positions), a more dynamic offensive player, better in transition, more dependable, and has a much more impressive resume. TBH the only reason I wouldn't take Brewer would be the fact that Crowder is coming off of a rookie contract (which would be offset by dealing Felton) and has a little more experience with the current roster. But in a vacuum, Brewer is a much better player than Crowder.

Cavs and Rockets in trade talks to get him via Stein.

Sure as heck don't want the Rockets to snag him.

I don't really think Corey Brewer is someone you worry about anyone picking up. He's an ok player, at best.

Do not want to get his 5m player option for next summer.

Prefer to keep the payroll clean and worst case offer Aminu 3-4m..

Aminu > Brewer. Both below average 3PT% though, But Brewer gambles a lot on defence and he averages 2 or 3 rebounds a game for a guy that is 6-9.

Agree, I don't see a need but if we don't plan to make any other moves I'd take him as another experienced perimeter defender.

But like I mentioned in another thread, we should be looking at addressing other needs first if we are thinking about trading usable pieces.

Really wish we had gotten Brewer somehow. His hustle and defense is something I can appreciate.
