Default Bush hit over jobs for illegal workers

Top GOP Leader: Bush Employs Thousands Of Undocumented Workers...

If President Bush is serious about getting tough on U.S. employers who hire illegal aliens, he can start with his own administration, which employs thousands of unauthorized workers, says the top Republican on the House immigration subcommittee.

A 2006 audit showed federal, state and local governments are among the biggest employers of the half-million persons in the U.S. illegally using "non-work" Social Security numbers -- numbers issued legally, but with specific instructions that the holders are not authorized to work in the U.S.

what is not mentioned is these illegal immigrant workers are found to be using false social security numbers as a result of having their fica payments sent in....which of course they will never get back in benefits.

That is just another flaw in our system that needs to be looked at congress, senate and the pres. It also should be a bad law to discourage this. You know they care less about down the road, the immigrant workers as they want the money today they work for.

This what we are talking about needs to be addressed with the next pres and try to fix the flaws and protect us and our workers. I think it is some kind of law where the immigarnt's can sign up for, for different farmers, where they can come legally and work for certain time periods. I guess they do not like doing the paper work or what the downfalls for them is, if they come signed up and work. It is probably a time limit on when they can come and go back and they probably would have to obide by that as to where illegal, they just come and stay as they want and go back.

what?
it's not a "flaw in our system", it's merely an illegal worker who has used a ss account to try and remain undetected. the employer is doing what they believe is following the law and paying the fica amounts they are required to pay for the employee.

they are illegallly working, they don't get their money back.

at the same time, those who claim that illegal workers don't pay taxes are wrong.

read up on the braceros, also called the emergency farm labor program. it was in effect from around 1942 until the mid 1960s.
