Taxman, another great Beatles song, and more proof they are not overrated.

ACORN has cases pending, I believe in Florida, they have a type of money laundering going on at the HQ in New Orleans, the numerous voter registration fraud throughout the country, now this undercover video...

C'Mon, how can anyone on the right or the left continue to support this criminal organization?

Not to mention the Criminal Intimidation tactics which lead to the Housing crisis...

To think they are scheduled to received $8.5 BILLION of U.S. Taxes from the Obama Stimulus package...

How much more obvious do people need to have it before they realize this group is criminal at best and evil at worst...unless of course this is just the tip of the iceburg? Is this really the heart and soul of the Democratic Socialist Party?

Is this what people in America want?

Is the left is so much denial that they condone this behavior from ACORN/Obama?

http://www.foxnews.com/search-result...acorn-tape.htm

2nd tape from a 2nd location this time in D.C.

Two ACORN locations advising Pimp/Prostitute how to conduct business and not get caught.

Your tax dollars advising people how to break the law.

I love how the guy finally tells her she's a whore, and the lady says that she had kind of guessed that.

She'll help you circumvent the law, and morality, but if your gf looks like a prostitute, she'll tell you about it to your face.

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2009/...e-investigate/

So this link asks a simple question..."Should ACORN be investigated?"

So far over 82,000 votes, with 99% saying YES.

Personally, I wonder, where are the new networks on this issue?

Sure Fox News is all over it...CNN just posted a story/link today...NBC and ABC (NOTHING) I didn't go check out CBS yet...

This is not about the individuals at the local level of ACORN, but this is about the corruption within ACORN from the leadership on down, as well as those associated with the corrupt organization.

Excellent...the obama brigades cannot be trusted with getting voter registrations...they sure cannot be trusted to count anyone accurately. Keep fighting the good fight.

Quote:
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Census Bureau on Friday severed its ties with ACORN, a community organization that has been hit with Republican accusations of voter-registration fraud. "We do not come to this decision lightly," Census director Robert Groves wrote in a letter to ACORN, which was obtained by The Associated Press.

In splitting with ACORN, Groves sought to tamp down GOP concerns and negative publicity that the partnership will taint the 2010 head count.

"It is clear that ACORN's affiliation with the 2010 census promotion has caused sufficient concern in the general public, has indeed become a distraction from our mission, and may even become a discouragement to public cooperation, negatively impacting 2010 census efforts," Groves wrote.

Stephen Buckner, a census spokesman, confirmed the letter, but declined additional comment.
ACORN spokesman Scott Levenson did not immediately return a request for comment.

Wow, a 3rd video from a Brooklyn office released today. So far 4 employees fired (Two from Baltimore, Two from D.C.) The US Census Bureau has broken off any plans for using ACORN in 2010.

Finally, are we seeing the unveiling of the truth behind ACORN? With the massive close ties to the Democrats and ultimately to President Obama, what will be the fallout?

Will the delay in reporting from mainstream media finally open the eyes of the few Americans who actually watch and live according to mainstream media? After all, they now have proof that they are lied too, simply by not reporting.

Bill Ayers, Reverend Jerimiah Wright, Communist Van Jones, ACORN...More will continue to come out...

in 2010 it will be time to "Change" the congress, in 2012 it will be time to EX-Change the President!!!

Wow, just watched the 4th video!!! WOW!!!

If not for the leftstream media, this expose by James O'Keefe would be Pulitzer material!!!

Can we try and unite, regardless of which political party you may be a fan of...there no doubt clarity that ACORN has major corruption within it and should be independantly investigated...

What defense can anyone give ACORN today?

uh, they don't give pulitzers for videos, and if they did I seriously doubt they would consider bestowing one for a video in which actors set out to bait people.

yeah. It's the filmmakers' fault. Any reasonable person or organization would have acted the way ACORN is acting in these videos There's no news here.

"fault"???

what "fault" is it you are referring to?

edit: I'm wondering, just what do you believe the people should have done, called the police to turn this prostitute in? told her she shouldn't buy a house cuz she is a whore? told her to go back to the pimp she fictionally was running away from? really, just what should they have done differently?

I don't want to play your games. If you don't think that it would have been better to actively discourage someone from starting a brothel using teenagers from el salvador, then you shouldn't involve yourself in any of these discussions.

'm not sure the person understood there was going to be a "brothel using teenagers from el salvador". one of the videos clearly showed the acorn person wasn't even aware prostitution is illegal.

is that the only point you can make, that at the one office she should have understood there were teenagers involved in a bothel?

it's odd that there is this apparent uproar over the conduct of the acorn staff, but what should they have done differently with the prostitute and her friend who wanted to know how to buy a house? seems like the critics could answer the question.

I really don't want to play your debate games. Any discussion of their behavior has to start with an acknowledgement that ACORN's behavior here is disgustingly wrong. If it doesn't, then the discussion isn't worth having.

that's disappointing, with all this bruhaha about the "disgusting" behavior it would seem that an explanation of what they should do differently wouldn't be that difficult.

apparently it is.

How about not give their law breaking clients ways to take advantage of tax breaks? It might be legal, I guess - I don't know about that - but it sure is shady.

Giving tax advice to a prostitute on how to make the law abiding citizens pay more of the tax burden is pathetic. I'm certain that it goes on all the time, that the big players have their own advisers (aka not ACORN) keeping their business more profitable. But that doesn't make it right.

I understand you are carrying the ACORN flag and you have the blinders on, but can't you see through the smoke a bit that it's not a justified practice? ACORN certainly seems to think it was bad practice.

ACORN certainly seems to think it was bad practice.
thanks u2, those are legit comments. I'm not out to try and make acorn anything more than what they are, and in this case they were wrong. and they have been in the wrong before, esp when thy made the boneheaded decision to pay people $/voter registration which as anyone with a lick of sense knows brings about fraud.

there is certainly a ton to criticize, but it seems to me that there are two congruent paths here; that the acorn advisors were non-chalant about working with a prostitute, and that they seemed to be ok with aiding in the future illegal tax avoidance.

the former (to me at least) is not anything to get bent out of shape about, heck even prostitutes should be able to have a home, right? many people who are screaming about this video are hung up with the fact that there's a (fake) prostitute involved, and that's ridiculous.

the later is not ok.

of course, the difference between the prostitute getting advice on how to avoid paying taxes from an acorn advisor vs a white collar executive getting advice on how to avoid paying taxes from an accountant is a matter of the advice from acorn being free and the advise from the accountant costing about $150/hour....

Not free to the tax payer, maybe much more than 150/hour?

the cost to the tax payer of the high income earner getting advise from the high priced accountant is many many times greater....

Admitting that what was exposed at the local level is indeed wrong is a great first step...I am proud of Mavdog for taking this first step.

Perhaps...hold on, hear me out...perhaps we can make some type of progress.

I will acknowledge and admit that yes, those $150 per hour tax accountants who provide advice to wealthy folks on how to cheat and ultimately break the law on their taxes is equally wrong.

Both cast tax payers money in some fashion or form.

Nothing more, nothing less...just two points that if we look at simply on those points, I believe Mavdog and I can come to a mutual agreement?

Well one thing they offered was the best way to sneak underage girls across the border if I recall.

you need to listen to the tape again. the actors say these girls are coming from el salvador and they "want to take care of them for a year or two."

what's interesting is this discussion with acorn is in regard to how the prositute can file taxes, something the actors claimed had not been done.

the analogy to the accountant is very appropriate.

Heh....

Yesterday the House voted 345-75 to ban all federal funding for the scandal-plagued advocacy group Acorn. Coming on the heels of the Census Bureau's dissociation with Acorn last week and the Senate's Monday vote denying it housing funds, this is a welcome decision.

But the fact that there were 75 "no" votes is shocking, even for this Congress. All of the nays came from Democrats. Along with far-left backbenchers, they included Mavdog, Charles Rangel, Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, and Henry Waxman, who heads the Energy and Commerce Committee. Both are key leaders in the ObamaCare effort.
