Gotcha. I was having trouble squaring far right nationalism with foreign influence in a general sense.

Most people have no idea who the Proud Boys even are, and they weren't around in 2016 (barely anyway). Not saying Trump is ignorant of them, but not sure he really needs them. Much like the left wing section of the Dem party, where else are they going to go?

I mean I'm looking at both likely voters and overall approval, but you're right. There is a zero percent chance that he wins popular vote (if all polls were accurate he'd lose by between 5-10million votes), but the chance that Trump repeats is probably 50-50 because of the electoral votes.

That's why this election feels awful. There's a good chance that Trump will win the election after losing by 8 million votes and even if he loses, he may refuse to step down and will attempt a coup or at least a tantrum.

Democracy is definitely dying.

Welp, Michael Moore wholeheartedly agrees with you in his new emergency podcast. And I'm not saying that Trump isn't the biggest liar on the planet.

But I still don't think "catching" Covid is the way to do it. Trump needs desperately to avoid Covid talk at all costs even if the polls don't reflect it. It's still an insanely negative topic and tragedy under his watch that he still isn't doing anything about.

However, if the election was called now
1) Trump loses the popular vote by almost 2 million
2) Trump loses the electoral college of all called states (238-213)
3) Trump loses the electoral college of states currently being counted (270-267)

Also NYT is giving GA and PA a 60%+ chance of flipping and going Biden by the end of the count because of where the ballots that need to be counted are.

No Biden still likely wins, but it's still rather depressing yet somehow not shocking that Trump did as well as he did.

Arizona is the big news IMO (where you live right?). Hasn't been blue since 1996.

Everything I’ve seen says that Trump lost white male support relative to 2016, and gained support among all other demographics. The gain in Latino support in Texas is the reason the state didn’t flip blue.

Yep. Two types of voters. Ones that vote for a candidate because they aren't the other candidate and ones that vote for a candidate because they like them. Trump has both of those and Biden only has one.
